Chapter 23

Darcy's pov

I looked up, turning my body back towards him. I thought he was going to hit me. this man infront of me was a stranger, the look in his eyes, the way he didn't care what he was doing, it petrified me.

I could see the pain in his eyes the second I flinched away from him, but I couldn't look at him, right now I wanted to hide away from him, I didn't trust myself or him right now. This could go either two way, both polar opposites to each other.

"Get out" My voice was shaky and weak, deceiving me in the worst possible way. Showing my weakness in my time of need, the one time I need strength to keep myself from sinking, drowning in the emotions that I can't control.

"Darcy, baby I'm so sorry. I don't know what happened to me."

"Don't. Don't give me that crap when we both know that you knew exactly what you were doing, look at him dougie, your a monster."

"No, I'm not baby please believe me I didn't mean to hurt him."

"That's the problem though isn't it, you didn't mean to. you never mean to but you still manage to ruin everything you touch no matter what it is."

His face twisted in pain, I could see his eyes well and for the first time in a long time he fell to the floor in defeat instead of fighting me like he usually does.

"You need to go, everything you touch you ruin, I can't even stand to be near you anymore, I don't know who you are, but I want my husband back, the man I fell in love with, who's main priorities were his family, his friends and his fans. In that order, not alcohol and fighting and cheating on his wife. I know I'm not said dougie, but this! this is ruining you and everyone around you. look at the damage you've caused."

I hated myself right now, more than I hated him, hearing the words come out of my mouth and knowing how much they would hurt him sickened me. it wasn't just him that was the monster, it was us. We were dangerous together. It's us together that does that damage, the ruins things around us. Our marriage, friendships, lives in general.
