"Are you sure you want to go, I get it if you need to stay and talk things out with Asher." I tell Emily as she grabs a pair of sweats and a hoodie.
"I'd much rather be hanging out with you than talking to Asher right now. And it's been forever since I've seen April. Plus, she throws awesome sleepovers." Emily says then shoves the clothes into a backpack.
"Oh, it's a sleepover?" I question. "All she told me was she and a couple other girls were hanging out tonight."
"Yeah, she has them like every Friday night." She says.
"I guess I should pack a bag then."
-------
"Knock knock." Emily says as she pushes open the door to April's room.
"Em!" April squeals as she runs to the door. "It's been too long!"
"It has." Emily says.
"Raven! Glad you came, make yourself at home." April says as she grabs Emily and I's bags. She sets them against a wall then walks with us over to the group of girls. "We're in the middle of truth or dare. I know it's cliche, but it's a sleepover must."
"So you're the new girl?" A girl with jet black hair asks.
"Yeah, I'm Raven." I say with a smile.
"Evie." She says. "Well, Raven, truth or dare?"
"I'm a stick my toes in first kind of girl, so truth." I say.
"First off, you and Noah are a thing right?" She asks.
"Yeah, we are." I say.
"So be completely honest, does he shave down below the belt? I've heard girls say he does and some say he gets man-waxed then others says it's a fucking jungle down there." She laughs.
"You know, I really don't know." I laugh awkwardly.
"Oh shit, you guys are taking it slow and all?"
"I mean not exactly, things are just kind of weird and complicated at the moment." I say.
"I get it, Emily, was he shaved when you two were together."
"You asked Raven not me." Emily says awkwardly.
"Okay, April, truth or dare?" I ask.
"I'm down for a dare." She says with a wide smile.
"Run through the boys' dorm with no clothes on."
"Been there, done that. But it's still fun." She says then pulls her shirt over her head. "Let's go girls."
-------
After hours of truth or dare, we call it a night and all find a place to lay down and sleep.
"Hey, Raven." Emily says as April turns the lights off.
"Yeah?"
"About the whole Noah thing, I know it's a little awkward. But I just want you to know that it's long in the past and it's definitely not something I'm looking to relive. I've been over him for a while and things are strictly platonic between us. At least on my side, I can't always speak for him. But I truly am routing for you two." She says.
