Billie's P.O.V.
When I arrived at the hospital, it seemed as if everyone was already there.
Even Aiden and Bianca flew in.
They were all huddled together on the cheap leather seats that had numerous tears, rendering it far from comfortable.
As they saw Finn and I, they welcomed us with open arms despite the drama between our two families.
Montague and Capulet.
Except the lovers are the ones with the problems.
Cierra jumped out of her seat and ran to hug my brother, not breaking the embrace.
I just sighed.
'How is she?" I asked quietly.
Mrs. Lee stood up and approached me.
"Jess is in there right now. We should know in a few minutes." She explained, me nodding in understanding.
I walked over to the rest of her family and stopped when I saw an unfamiliar face.
Recognition flooded her face as soon as she saw me and she stood up abruptly.
I watched her for a second, attempting to analyze her relation the family and one I couldn't find a connection, I dropped it.
"Hi it's so nice to meet you. I'm Maddie. Bianca's sister." She greeted warmly.
By the way she had previously acted, she must have noticed who I was seeing as her eyes literally lit up.
I don't get why.. It's just me.
I just nodded in her direction, no longer finding a conversation in the least bit interesting.
Before I could take a seat of my own, the door opened to reveal Mr. Hayes.
He scanned the area frantically, looking for someone until his eyes landed on me.
He gestured for me to follow him quickly.
"Thank God you're here." He breathed out, leading me down the corridor.
Something seemed to be bothering him. I couldn't quite place it but he seemed very freaked out.
As we passed different hospital doors, I tuned into my surrounding sounds. I heard babies crying and women screaming.
I heard doctors arguing with patients and another embracing what looked like a heartbroken woman.
It was very painful to watch. I didn't want to be one of them. I didn't want to feel such loss that I would have to go through a scenario similar to it.
Avalon has to be okay.
We reached the door Avalon was allegedly in and once the door opened, i wished it hadn't.
Doctors were scrambling around, attempting to sedate Avalon who was jolting around.
She roughly fended off the doctors trying to apprehend her and when someone got a grasp on her, she screamed.
"Where's Billie! Get her! I want Billie!" She screeched, still struggling to break free.
My heart dropped at the sight. She looked so lost, so frantic.
What happened to her.
"She has been mumbling your name for a while but it just now got violent." Mr. Hayes chimed in, reminding me of his presence.
"BILLIE HELP!" she screamed.
I rushed to her side, shoving a nurse out of the way before grasping her hand.
"I'm here love.. I'm here." I whispered.
As soon as our hands made contact something within her clicked. She smiled softly and began calming down, sinking further into the matress.
"Billie I You need to know something." She gulped dazedly.
I was confused at how quickly she winded down but ignored it.
"What is it baby?" I asked.
Urgency now laced her features, her eyebrows furrowing in concentration as not to lose her thought.
"Before I - Blacked out I - Saw something."
"What did you see?" I pressed, my concern levels rising.
"She - was back and she wasn't alone..." She murmered, seemingly confused with her own statement.
"Who wasn't alone? Who did you see?"
Her eyes rolled to the back of her eyes briefly before focusing on mine.
They widened as if she just now got word of the Jonas brothers returning.
"I saw - I saw.." And her voice trailed to a mere whisper.
Why. Why was she so tired? I looked around for an explanation to meet the eyes of a nurse, an empty syringe in her hands.
That bitch.
Luckily for me, my ears had caught the tail end of Avalon's sentence. Not all of it but enough to understand.
I didn't know if I wanted to know what it was anymore.
Because the words that passed her lips were far from expected.
"Gigi...."
