Billie's P.O.V.
"So what you're saying is... You wrote an entire book about me... Dating someone that doesn't exist...?" I asked incredulously.
The fan I had met a while ago - whose name I remembered to be Isabella, had just come to me with this news and although I was honored, It wasn't normal to me.
"Dude.. That's fucking weird.." I concluded, face scrunching up in confusion.
What the fuck?
Since when did I become important enough to have a whole fucking book on me?
It never ceased to amaze me the dedication of my fans.
I mean - some people just sit there and write about me, ME.
I was actually speechless.
"You should read some!" Isabella exclaimed.
My eyes widened.
I have read fanfiction before and that is just whack to me.
Plus, I already had someone. The love of my life, my one true person.
I didn't need a fake relationship to make me happy.
"Uh-huh... Look I got to go check on Avalon." I told her, wanting nothing more than to escape the conversation that threatened to kill me with discomfort.
I watched her eyes as she visibly deflated, nodding. It was obvious she was disappointed and I felt extremely bad about it.
I raced down the hall, more than intrigued to figure out why my brother wanted to talk to Ava so much.
I reached the door and turned the knob eagerly, only to stop dead in my tracks.
Nothing in my entire life would have prepared me for what I would be seeing before me.
Avalon was kissing my brother.

Melanie's P.O.V.
Harvey wheeled me into the house, bursting with music. I winced at the noise but assumed this was a normal thing and I would get used to it.
It was almost impossible to believe this was all for me.
It was my birthday and they threw me a party.
It wasn't the ideal way to spend my birthday, attempting to get my wheelchair around clusters of drunk people I have never seen in my life.
As the door opened to reveal us, Quinn sat up in her seat and hollered.
"THE BIRTHDAY BITCH HAS ARRIVED!"
The crowd was like a hungry herd of lions and I the prey as they screamed slurred happy birthdays. All I could bother to do was smile politely.
Harvey leaned toward my seat and kissed my cheek.
"Good babe?" He asked.
This was a thing between us.
Every so often we would check in on each other. He asks if I'm good, I answer 'better' , 'worse' or just plain 'good.'
It was really cute if you ask me, ask anyone else on the fucking planet...
'What the fuck is wrong with them'
"Better." I smiled cheekily at him and he grinned.
My phone rang in my purse.
I groaned and before I could make a move, Harvey was on it. He reached into the bag hanging on my chair and grasped my phone, transporting it to me without once glancing at the screen.
That's another thing I love about him. Trust.
He doesn't read my contacts or texts and if I say 'it's nothing' he believes me.
I swiped the answer button and raised the device to my hearing hole.
"Melanie Tereya Vergado Hayes. Where the hell do you think you are!?"
I rolled my eyes.
"Living my life." I answered dryly.
"I SWEAR IF YOU ARE WITH THAT DAWSON BOY I AM GONNA-"
I hung up.
I am sick and tired of that bitch trying to control my life. She begged me to go to therapy for my 'recklessness' which is clearly nonexistant.
No wonder Avalon left.
And get this, she didn't believe I truly loved Harvey.
She didn't get that every time I look in his eyes I melt into a puddle and want nothing more than to kiss the life out of him. When he laughs my throat constricts and I am left laughing along with him.
I am completely head over heels with him.
And he doesn't even know it.
Flashback
"You need to introduce me to Billie AND her brother." I smirked evily, enjoying blackmailing my pathetic sister.
"Okay... Fine." Ava muttered under her breath.
Harvey began to tickle my sides.
"Shh stop!" I hissed.
"Mel? Is that a boy?" Avalon asked surprised.
My eyes widened and I elbowed him with all my strength before responding.
"Nope I am all alone in my room doing appropriate things. Kay got to go!" I rushed.
"Wait-"
I clicked the end button, cutting off all of the jokes Ava had planned.
I turned to Harvey.
"Harv you're an asshole."
He grinned at me.
"But I'm your asshole." He responded, he stopped and thought about what he said. "Wait no I'm not that's fucking gross."
I giggled.
I looked into his dark brown eyes, getting lost in the spiral of emotions that filled them.
Finally, getting caught in the moment, I leaned in and attempted to connect our lips.
Instead, my hands met a palm.
I opened my eyes to see Harv doubling over with laughter.
"Ahaha I'm sorry it's just - You didn't think we were a thing... Did you?" He wheezed.
If he saw how mortified I looked, he didn't pay any mind to it as I tucked a strand of hair behind my head.
I am stupid.
"N-no. Ofcourse not."
End of Flashback
"Who was it?" Harvey asked.
"Wrong number." I answered, shaking my head of the horrid memory, my attention dragging to the food table.
"Ooh! onion rings!"
