Billie's P.O.V.

"What do you think about a vacation?" I asked hopefully, stretching out on the bed.

Avalon lowered her book from her face and looked at me brightly.

For the past hour, I just sat and watched her as she read.

It was adorable to see her face scrunch in confusion and her mouth drop in surprise.

A book can change a person.

Whether you like to show it or not, you will always feel something.

You can get so immersed in the book it's almost as id you are there in the scene.

I never liked reading much but Ava did and that's why I read. I did it for her. As my eyes ran from side to side across the paper, hers were trained on me, anticipating my thoughts of the upcoming scene.

I tried to hide the surprise that she even heard me let alone look away from her story, and I am sure I failed miserably.

"That sounds so nice." She reveled in the thought of being away from all the drama.

The other day, we were bombarded by fans and Avalon and I got separated in the chaos. She ended up having another panic attack and a very sweet fan had calmed her down.

I felt so extremely horrible for not being there for her.

That's a main reason as to why we need a break.

Although I love my fans, they can get a bit out of hand..

Okay a lot.

The paparazzi haven't gotten any better either. Always asking about our relationshop, shoving their massive microphones in our faces, the flashing lights.

It's all too much.

"Wherever you want to go." I smiled at her.

"Texas." She answered, eyes filled with stars.

Texas...?

Out of every single state in the United Fucking States of America...

She chose Texas!?

"Ahaha okay but for real." I said, getting serious.

"I really do want to go to Texas babe. To a secluded farm maybe."

She seemed so starstruck by the idea and I just couldn't resist.

So that's what brought us to Dallas Fort Worth, with a wad of three hundred dollars, no luggage, the strong urge to piss, and an uber driver that charged a shady amount of money.

Okay scratch that.

A wad of two hundred and twenty dollars, the strong urge to piss, no battery or service, and a stranded road.

Love my life.

Avalon's P.O.V.

I grimaced as I watched Billie chase after the uber driver, shouting profanities I didn't even know existed.

I stood there awkwardly, clutching my uncharged phone in my hand.

I am starting to regret my decision to come here.

Billie slowed to a stop, allowing the fact that she would never catch him sink in. She sighed and ran her hand down through her beautiful blue locks and began her trek back to me.

I couldn't help but laugh at her disheveled appearance and she scowled at me.

"I - I'm sorry it's just - angry Billie is so cute." I wheezed.

She frowned, adding to the cuteness overload I was experiencing.

"Shut up. Come on, we need to find somewhere to stay."

And even though it was the faintest of things, I still noticed the slight blush that tinted her cheeks and gave away her true thoughts of my praise.

As we walked for a minute, we were interrupted by a heavy panting sound.

Billie looked at me shocked.

"Babe we just started walking, why -"

"It's not me." I concluded, sharing a concerned look with her.

I turned around to see a small furry creature approaching us in the distance.

It was a dog!

A black labrador to be exact.

I kneeled down and looked at it with wide eyes.

"Come here baby!" I cooed.

It wagged its tail faster, picking up the pace until it was in my arms, covering my face in kissed.

"Awww!" I squealed.

"You are giving the dog more love than me." Billie pouted.

I ignored the comment and continued to pet my furry friend.

"What's your name?"

I grasped at the collar around his neck, reading out the name on it.

"Evie." After I said it I burst into laughter.

What a cute name.

"Okay Evie. Can you take us back to the airport?"

What a stupid question I know. But dogs are very intelligent especially when it comes to navigation.

It barked happily and broke from my grasp, running off in the direction it came.

"Guess she can." Billie smirked, reaching for my hand.

And together, we attempted to find our way back.
