Em wakes up to her alarm going off at 7:30am. She checks her phone and scrolls through her social medias before going to the bathroom to shower. She changes into a Pretty Little Thing sweatshirt, black ripped jeans, and her Prada sneakers. She goes to the kitchen to see her parents in the kitchen making breakfast. She greets them both and hugs and kisses both their cheeks.
"So what are you gonna do while you're there?" her father asks.
"Just gonna be visiting a friend and seeing a couple guys for All Star weekend," she replies nonchalantly.
"Okay, well make sure you stay safe over there. The city is gonna be filled with a lot of people and there might be dangerous people in the city too because of it," her father warns.
"Yes Pa, I will," she nods.
"Alright, well I'm gonna go get ready to take you to the Airport," he says, before walking into the master bedroom.
"Okay, now that your father is gone, tell me why you're really going over there," her mother says, once her father enters the bedroom.
"I'm kind of sort of dating one of Charlie's teammates and he's gonna be at the All Star weekend," she admits sheepishly.
"And I'm assuming Charlie doesn't know about it," her mother adds.
"Yeah, he's had a strict 'no dating my teammates' rule since we broke up," she confirms.
"Well how are you gonna see him when there's gonna be a million cameras during All Star weekend?" her mother asks curiously.
"I'm gonna go radio silent for the entire weekend. I'm not gonna post on my social media and he barely posts on social media as it is. We'll also make sure we won't be seen together in public. We'll stay in the confines of my hotel room and I've already talked to the guys I know that are gonna be there and they all swore to secrecy that they wouldn't do anything to expose us," she explains.
"It looks like you got it all figured out. Just make sure you're being safe and smart," her mother warns, giving her a stern look.
"Ma, please don't give me another sex talk. I'm not 16 anymore," she groans in disgust.
"I never gave you a sex talk, Emely. I'm the one that had to go through the horror of catching my 16 year old daughter losing her virginity in her bedroom," her mother bites back.
"Ugh don't remind me about that. Charlie couldn't look you in the eye for like a solid week," Em groans.
"Yeah well I could've totally gone without the sight of seeing him naked and on top of my daughter," she continues.
"Ma, por favor!" Em whines, not wanting to hear about the embarrassing moment any longer.
"You're lucky I never told your father about that or the fact you and Charlie dated," she replies sternly.
"Sí, Ma. I owe you for never telling him. Pa would've murdered him," Em replies thankfully.
If her father would've known that she was dating Charlie and that they were having sex while she was still a teenager, he would've killed Charlie. She's also grateful it was her mother who caught them and not her father. He would've killed Charlie on the spot.
She shakes her head of those thoughts and focuses on breakfast. She quickly eats and by the time her father comes out of his bedroom all dressed, she's finished with breakfast. She goes to her room and grabs her suitcase and makes sure she has her essentials in her purse.
