Em wakes up to the sound of landscaping going on outside her building. She groans and sits up, feeling some back pain shoot up her spine. She goes to the bathroom and freshens up before taking some pregnancy-approved painkillers. She comes back into the room to see David still knocked out. She smiles at his sleeping figure and gives him a kiss on the cheek before heading out of the room. She goes to the kitchen and starts working on breakfast. She makes eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries, and toast.

She sets the table and just as she's placing the drinks onto the table, he comes up from behind and hugs her.

"Good morning, princess. How are you feeling?" he asks her.

"Alright. I have some back pain, but nothing too serious," she replies, grabbing a plate and serving him.

"You look really good this morning. You're glowing," he smiles, kissing her.

"Thank you, baby. I guess I finally got that pregnancy glow people always talk about," she smiles, handing him a plate filled with food.

"Are you excited for the appointment?" he asks her, sitting down.

"Yes, I can't wait to see our baby again," she smiles, serving herself.

She sits down and they eat while talking about the appointment later today, as well as the game the following day. They discuss more baby plans, which include nursery ideas and house hunting. After eating, he cleans up the table and the kitchen, while she goes to the room to shower and change. She changes into a black maternity jumpsuit, a black jean jacket, and boots. She does minimal makeup and leaves her hair in its natural waves. She goes to the living room and watches SportsCenter while David gets ready for the appointment. She sees that the Mets beat the Reds 1-0 in Queens. She also sees that the Avs beat the Sharks 3-0 in Denver to tie the series at 2. She also sees the Sixers beat the Raptors 116-95 to take a 2-1 lead in the series.

Eventually, David finishes getting ready and they head out to go to the appointment before visiting a home in the Fisher Hill village of Brookline. They make sure they have everything with them before leaving the condo. They leave the building and make their way to the garage. They locate David's car and get in. David turns on the engine and Em plugs the aux cord into her phone. The song Nunya by Kehlani Ft. Dom Kennedy comes on and she jams to the R&B banger as they drive off towards the appointment.

They arrive to the appointment after half an hour and park nearby. They walk inside the clinic and make their way to the reception desk. David checks them in while Em sits int he waiting room. She sees pregnant women with children and their partners. She also sees pregnant women by themselves. She also sees non-pregnant women by themselves. They play on their phones for a bit before Em hears her last name being called. They get up and follow the nurse inside. They enter an examination room and Em gives a urine sample. The nurse also checks her vitals, takes a blood sample, and takes her measurements. The nurse then leaves and they wait for the Dr. Rosario to enter. Dr. Rosario enters after a few minutes and greets them both with a smile.

"Well, your measurements look great. The results of your urine sample looks good. No signs of gestational diabetes or preeclampsia. Your blood test looks great as well. How are you feeling? Do you have any concerns or have felt anything unusual?" Dr. Rosario asks.

"No, doctor. I haven't felt unusual. Everything's been going to plan for 16 weeks so far," she smiles.

"That's great. So, your mid-pregnancy ultrasound is coming up. Would you like to know the sex of the child or would you like to keep it a secret?" Dr. Rosario asks.
