xxxiii. pasta's 23rd bday bash & 4 month anniversary

Em wakes up to the sound of David shouting. She sits up and feels slightly lightheaded from getting up too quick. She goes out to the living room where she sees David talking on the phone
She heads over to the kitchen where she sees breakfast already made. She serves herself a plate and heats it up in the microwave. She then heads to the living room and sits on the couch to eat it.

"Thank you so much. We'll see you soon," David smiles, before hanging up.

"Morning babe," Em smiles, kissing him.

"I'm sorry babe. Did I wake you when I shouted?" he asks.

"Yeah, but it's okay. It's past 10:30 anyway," she assures him with a smile.

"So, that was Christina. The house is officially ours. We get the keys today," he informs her.

"That's amazing! We're home owners!" she cries out in joy, hugging and kissing David.

She feels the baby kick and she places her hand on her bump.

"Our nugget's excited too! Just kicked me," she smiles.

"Man, I can't wait til I can feel that," he smiles, placing his hand over hers on the bump.

"So, I say we call everyone up and have a celebration," she suggests.

"That's not a bad idea. I'll text the guys and let them know to come by," he smiles, opening up imessage.

"So when is the family moving out of the house?" she asks him.

"Christina spoke to their realtor and the realtor told her that they're moving out at the end of the month. So we won't be able to move in until after the Cup Finals," he informs her.

"That's fine. I'm still in my 2nd trimester so it's all good. Also, babymoon will be happening after the Cup Finals too," she replies.

"You're gonna take me to DR to meet your family right?" he asks her.

"Yes and then you can take me to the Czech Republic so I can meet your entire family. I promise I've been learning more and more Czech every day with my app," she replies, showing her phone.

"You know my family also speaks Slovak too. The country split into two in 1993, so the older people in my family still speak Slovak," he informs her.

"Does that mean I have to learn Slovak too?" she asks, her eyes widening.

"No, you don't. It would be cool if you did, but just knowing enough Czech to get by with my family is enough, my love," he smiles.

"Okay, so what did the boys say? Are they coming over?" she asks.

"Yeah, they said they're down to celebrate. I told them 6 would be a good time. When do you wanna go pick up the keys from Christina?" he asks.

"Let's get ready and go now," she replies.

She goes to the kitchen and puts the empty dishes in the sink. She goes to the room and joins David in the shower. After showering, she changes into a green maternity maxi dress and sneakers. She does minimal makeup and leaves her hair in its natural waves. She grabs her things snd goes to the living room while she waits for David to finish talking on the phone with Christina.

When he comes out to the living room, he finds her with a hand cradling her bump as their nugget kicks her. He snaps a pic of her with her hand cradling her bump and another of her posing. He sends her the pics and she posts them on her Instagram.
