xxiv. eastern conference round one game five

Em wakes up to her stomach grumbling at 9:04 am. She turns around and sees Pasta is not next to her in bed. She goes to the bathroom and freshens up before leaving the room. She makes her way to the kitchen where she sees Pasta finishing making breakfast.

"What are you doing up so early?" she asks.

"Just wasn't sleepy anymore," he replies.

She sits down on a stool and Pasta serves her a plate of food.

"I woke up this morning really hungry so thank you for this," she smiles.

"You're welcome, baby. Today is 14 weeks right?" he asks, serving himself a plate.

"Yeah. It's crazy how fast it's all going," she replies, looking down at her growing bump.

"How are you feeling?" he asks her.

"Alright. The symptoms for this week are round ligament pain, increased energy, increased appetite, and thicker, shinier hair," she informs him.

"Okay, not bad. The first trimester was terrible, so I'm glad things are looking better," he smiles

"I'm just glad I'm not sick all the time anymore," she smiles.

"We have a meeting with the realtor today at 2," he informs her.

"Alright so we'll mention the things we talked about then?" she asks.

"Yeah," he nods.

"Alright, sounds great to me," she smiles.

They finish eating breakfast and clean up the kitchen. They then head to the room where Em Face Times her family while Pasta showers and changes into comfy clothes. After ending the Face Time, Em showers and changes into comfy clothes as well.

"Wanna look at some houses online?" she asks him, as she sits down on he bed next to him.

"Sure. I'll let you get an idea of how the real estate is here," he replies, grabbing his Macbook.

He turns on his Macbook and goes on Zillow to look at homes in Brookline. They put in the search that they're looking for 4+ bedrooms, 2+ baths, and a pool. A list of 10 homes come up and they see a house for sale that's listed at $8.9M and it has 7 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, and is 10,128 sqft.

"Oh my god, that is a palace! We do not need to live in a house that big!" she assures him, scrolling past that house.

They keep scrolling down until they see a house for sale that's listed at $2.7M and has 4 bedrooms, 4 full bathrooms and four half-bathrooms, and is 3,914 sqft. They click on the house and look at the pictures and the description. They see there's an in-ground pool and spa as well as an outdoor kitchen and patio, and a cabana that contains a bathroom, changing room, and outdoor shower.

"I like that one, babe. I think we should tell the realtor about that one," she smiles, seeing herself raising her family in that home.

"Okay, I'll save it," he replies, saving the address for the realtor.

They looks at a couple more houses and he secretly saves the address of the $8.9M home. They then turn their attention to planning their babymoon, which will be happening after the playoffs. They already picked to have their babymoon in the Dominican Republic, where Em can visit her family members over there and reconnect with the motherland. After planning details out, they put the Macbook away and decide to head out for lunch before meeting with the realtor. They change into casual outfits to meet with the realtor and make sure they have everything before leaving the condo. They make their way down to the sandwich spot across the street from the building.
