xlii. anny's 19th bday bash

Em wakes up to her alarm going off at 7:30am and turns over to see the bed empty. She sits up and stretches before getting out of bed. She looks down and sees her ankles are swollen and laughs at what her body looks like now. This is her new normal. She goes to the bathroom and does her business before showering and changing into a pink maternity bodysuit and maternity ripped jeans. She puts on her fave pair of pink slip-on sneakers and and leaves her hair in its natural waves. She heads downstairs to the kitchen and sees David already has the table set up with breakfast.

"Morning, baby. Why were you up so early?" she asks him, kissing him.

"Wanted to make you a nice hearty breakfast," he informs her.

"That's awfully sweet of you," she smiles, as he opens the chair wide enough for her to get in.

"You got really big overnight! 26 weeks today," he smiles, caressing her bump as she sits down.

"Yeah, I honestly can't believe it! It feels like just yesterday we had the gender reveal and that was 6 weeks ago," she smiles, digging into her breakfast right away.

He sits down across from her and they talk about the long day they have ahead of them. Today is Anny's 19th birthday and they'll be heading to New York to celebrate the occasion. Since it's a Thursday, they'll be having dinner at a fancy restaurant before heading to Coney Island for some fun with the fam and friends.

"What time do you wanna get there?" he asks her.

"By 2. Knowing Anny, she's probably gonna want me to spend as much time as possible with her," she informs him.

"Alright, well luckily I'm already showered and changed so we just have to pack an overnight bag," he replies.

They finish their breakfast and go to their room to pack an overnight to stay over at Em's parents' house. Em then sits on the couch and David takes a couple pics of her to document how big she got practically overnight. Em approves of the photos and posts them onto IG.
