xlvii. babyshower in boston

Em wakes up with a dying urge to pee. She quickly waddles her way to the bathroom and pees. She then goes to her room and gets dressed. She goes downstairs and sees the Bruins wives all in the kitchen.

"Good morning, ladies!" Em smiles.

Katrina hands her a mug filled with coffee, just the way Em likes it.

"Good morning, queen. Ready for your hair and makeup appointment?" Katrina asks.

"You guys booked a stylist for today?" she asks, raising an eyebrow.

"Of course we did! You really thought we wouldn't make you look like a Disney princess on your special day?" Mel asks.

"Alright, so when is the stylist coming?" she asks.

"The stylist and her team are coming in an hour," Kiley adds.

"So what will you ladies be doing?" she asks them.

"We'll be going back and forth from the country club and making sure everything is going as planned. Your family will be here in a few hours and will be helping out as well," Steph Bergeron explains.

"And what will you be doing, babe?" she asks David.

"Making sure I don't die and making sure these ladies don't kill anyone," he replies.

"If you do everything we say, you'll survive. Consider it practice for your wedding day," Kiley teases.

He turns red like a tomato and excuses himself causing all the girls to laugh.

"You guys embarrassed him!" Em giggles.

"That happens every time we mention you guys getting married, which we know will happen in the future. He'd be an idiot to lose you," Katrina adds. 

Em decides she's waste enough time chatting and eats breakfast. After breakfast, she heads to the master suite to shower and gets ready. She changes into comfortable underwear and a silk robe as she waits for the stylists' arrival. The stylist eventually arrives and introduces herself as Bianca de la Cruz. She's an instructor in Boston's top beauty school and has her assistants with her come in with all their equipment. They start with her hair, adding extensions and hairspraying the fuck out of it. They tie it in the back with a beautiful butterfly clip before moving onto her makeup. After a while, her makeup has made her look like a beautiful Disney princess. 

After letting the makeup set, they help her get dressed in a beautiful pink maternity gown. They pair the look off with jewelry and white wedges. She makes her way downstairs where the girls all cheer for her. They all proclaim she looks amazing and thank Bianca and her team for making her look amazing. Even David is blown away.

"You look amazing, baby," he smiles, kissing her forehead.

"Thank you, baby," she smiles back, not knowing if she could love this man more than she already does. 

"So, we're gonna head out to the country club and make sure everything is being set up properly. Your folks are gonna drop their stuff off here first before heading over there,"  Katrina explains.

"Sounds good. Just make sure my mom doesn't kill anybody. She's absolutely terrifying when she's mad and serious. So just make sure nothing gets messed up so she doesn't have to murder anyone," Em informs them.

"No problem. We'll take care of everything. Just enjoy the celebration and make sure to relax throughout the whole thing. We all will have everything under control," Kiley adds.
