xl. 5 month anniversary & house move-in

Em wakes up to David kissing her awake.

"Morning," she replies groggily, her eyes barely open.

"Open your eyes, babe," he whispers.

She opens her eyes and sees David made her breakfast in bed.

"Aww, babe," she smiles, rubbing the sleep from her eyes.

She sits up and he takes all the pillows and puts them behind her for her to sit up comfortably. He then puts the tray down that has a plate with eggs, toast, bacon, and home fries on it. He then also puts the coffee mug down on the tray.

"Thank you, babe. You're the sweetest," she smiles, kissing him.

He gets into bed and slides beside her. "No problem, baby. Happy 5 months."

"I love you so much for this because I'm too lazy right now to get up," she smiles, digging into her food.

He turns on the TV and they watch SportsCenter, checking up on the latest highlights from the day before.

"Do you wanna go somewhere today?" he asks her.

"I don't really care. As long as I'm with you," she assures him, taking a sip of her coffee.

"How'd you sleep by the way?" he asks her.

"Pretty good. Our lil princess kept me up a lil at first, but eventually fell asleep after half an hour," she informs him.

"Swollen ankles and feet?" he asks.

"Not that swollen right now," she replies.

"Braxton Hicks?"

"Barely and they don't last long."

"Backaches?"

"Ever since you got me that body pillow, I've been fine."

"Bleeding and/or swollen gums?"

"Not this morning."

"Okay good. We're getting closer to 24 weeks now," he adds.

"Yeah, we're entering the 6th month. We're getting closer and closer to the home stretch," she smiles.

"I can't wait," he smiles back.

She finishes her food and he grabs the tray and takes it to the kitchen. He cleans up the kitchen and when he returns to the room, he sees her finishing making the bed.

"I'm gonna make dinner reservations for tonight at a restaurant in the South End. Bergy recommended it to me," he informs her.

"Okay. Do you wanna take a bath with me or save that for after the dinner?" she asks.

"We can save that for later. We can light candles and do all that romantic stuff you like so much," he smiles.

"You don't have to do that romantic stuff to impress me, babe! You already got me!" she assures him.

"Yeah well I want to spoil you. You're doing all the hard work growing our child. The least I could do is do something nice for you from time to time," he replies, kissing her.

"Well I appreciate that. Do you wanna shower with me?" she asks him.

"Shower time with you? Why would I ever turn that down?" he teases.

She leads him into the bathroom and he helps her strip before getting undressed himself. He turns on the water and helps her in before entering the shower. He washes her back, legs, and nether regions and she washes his back for him. They eventually get out and he dries her off before drying himself off. They get in and dress into comfy clothes to stay home and finish packing, since they'll be officially moving in 3 days. Em puts on her music and the song Truth Hurts by Lizzo comes on. They finish packing up both guest rooms and their room for the most part. They leave their closet for another day, as well as the rest of the house.
