xiv. moving day

Em wakes up to the smell of breakfast being made and checks the time to see it's 8:15am. She surprisingly doesn't have any nausea but does have to pee. She goes to the bathroom and takes care of her business before going to the kitchen. She sees her mother bringing breakfast to the dining room table and walks over to her.

"'Cion Ma. Buenos días," she smiles, kissing her cheek.

"Dios te bendiga, mi'ja. Dormiste bien?" her mother asks.

"Sí, y usted? Dormiste bien?" she asks.

"Sí, mi amor," her mother smiles.

Her father walks in and goes straight to the coffee maker.

"'Cion Pa. Buenos días," Em smiles, giving him a kiss on the cheek.

"Dios te bendiga, mi'ja," he replies, before heading to the dining room.

"He'll come around, mi'ja. Just give him time," Maria assures her.

Em nods and goes over to the dining room. They eat breakfast together and her parents go off to the living room to watch TV as she goes to her room to get ready to move out. She goes to the bathroom and showers before changing into lululemon leggings, a Northface sweater, and UGG boots. She packs up all her shower stuff, as well as all her last minute things.

She makes sure her room is clean and goes out to the living room to spend the last few hours with her family. She sees her sisters are awake and decides to talk to them while they eat breakfast.

"Em, can we watch a movie in my room?" Keila asks.

"Of course, baby," she smiles.

After the girls finish eating breakfast they go to Keila and Eimy's room to watch a movie. They watch Despicable Me 3 and after the movie finishes she sees the time is 1:28pm.

"Alright guys, I gotta start heading out if I wanna get to Boston before it's too late," she sighs, not wanting to leave.

She gets up from the bed and leaves the room. She goes to her room and takes out her suitcases before heading to the living room. She goes outside and brings her car out in front of the house. She then comes back inside and she sees Keila on the verge of tears.

"Do you really have to go, Em?" she whines.

"Yeah baby, I gotta go. I gotta go live with my boyfriend now and get ready to be a mom," she sighs sadly, not wanting to leave her baby sister.

"Who's gonna help me with dance?" she whines, hugging her tight.

"Eimy can help you and I'll come to visit. I'm not leaving forever," she reassures her.

"Okay, I'm gonna miss you," she sniffles.

"I'm gonna miss you too, baby," Em replies, on the verge of tears herself.

"Even though you're annoying, I'm gonna miss you," Eimy teases, bringing her older sister into a hug.

"Gonna miss you too, punk," Em teases back, kissing her little sister's forehead.

"Ay mi reyna, te quiero mucho!" her mom cries out, tears falling from her eyes.

"Te quiero mucho también, Ma! I'm gonna miss you!" Em cries into her Mom's shoulder.

After a few seconds, her mother pulls away from the embrace. Em then turns to her father.

"Take care, mi cielo. We'll always be there for you," José sighs, tears falling from his eyes.
