"Okay spill why do you always stare at Gadreel when he leaves the room?" Dean asked as he plopped down beside me.
"I don't know, I like his butt." I said playfully.
"(Y/n)..."
"Fine..... I can see his wings." I said with a blush.
"Gadreel's? Cas said that it was impossible to see wings unless the angel showed them to you." He said softly.
"Well I can see them clear as day, they are big and white with green tips at the bottom.... they are really beautiful." I said with a smile.
"Maybe you should ask him why you can see them and non of us can." Dean said softly.
"Maybe I should." I said as I stood up and left the room.
It wasn't hard to find Gadreel, like always he was reading in the library. I smiled as I set across from him and watched him for a second.
"Can I help you?" He asked not looking up.
"Yea, I have a question for you."
"Whatever it is no."
"It isn't like that Gadreel, it's about your-"
"Hey (Y/n)! Crowley is here!" Sam yelled from the other room.
"I'll have to ask you later." I said as I stood up and left the room.
After we finished hunting the wendigo we returned home and I smiled as Gadreel was on the couch. I plopped down beside him and sent him a smile.
"So can I ask you it now?"
"Go ahead, since you clearly won't leave me alone until you do."
"Why can I see-"
"(Y/n)! Finally there you are, I need your help, Demons are trying to kill me." Balthazar exclaimed as he grabbed my arm and pulled me behind him.
I turned to look at Gadreel only to see a scowl on his face. I frowned as Balthazar took me with him and then I helped him with the demons.
"Hey Balthazar can I ask you a question?"
"Of course! Ask away, love." He said cheerfully.
"Why can I see Gadreel's wings?" I asked softly.
"Um.... well... you would have to ask him I'm afraid.... um I'll be sending you back." He said as he snapped his fingers.
I let out a groan as I saw it was two in the morning and I plopped down on my bed and closed my eyes. I was halfway asleep when I heard a gentle knock on my door. I let out a groan and I stood up and threw the door open.
"What!"
"You had a question for me." He said softly.
"Oh! Yea! Sorry I thought you where Sam or Dean. Come in." I said with a smile.
He walked into the room and set on my bed. I set beside him and stretched as I let out a yawn.
"So what is the question?" He asked softly.
"Oh yea.... um.... how can I see your wings?" I asked softly.
His eyes went wide and he looked behind him and then back to me.
"What color are they?"
"White with green at tips."
"How long have you been able to see them?"
"Since we met."
"Can you see anyone else's wings?"
"No. Okay slow down... can you just tell me why I can see your wings?" I asked softly.
"Well you don't have the sight.... so it must be..."
"Must be what? Continue."
"Since you can see only my wings it must mean that we are...."
"I didn't catch that last part."
He whispered it again and I let out a groan.
"Just tell me!" I snapped angrily.
"Soulmates." He said with a blush.
"We are... soulmates?" I asked shocked.
He nodded his head and I felt a blush appear on my own face.
"That's why Balthazar wanted me to ask you.... so.... um... how do you feel about that?"
"Well I'm... do you want the truth or lie?"
"I want the truth."
"I'm happy.... I have always.... Well... I... I wanted you to be my soulmate." He said softly.
I smiled as the words sunk in and I looked at my hands.
"I'm happy too.... being honest I've liked you for awhile.... and I happy that I'm stuck with you... if that's what you want.. I'm not wanting to push anythi-"
I was cut off by him gently pecking my lips. I smiled as he pulled away and kissed my forehead.
"I'm happy to be stuck with you too." He said softly.
I smiled as I laid my head on his shoulder and felt something brush against my arm. From the corner of my eye I saw his wings wrapped around us and I smiled as I snuggled into him.
"Get some sleep.... I'll watch over you." He whispered into my ear.
I closed my eyes and smiled as I let sleep over take me.
Bonus
My door opened and I got ready to listen to Dean yell, but all I heard was a growl.
"Wake her up and I will personally smite you." Gadreel hissed.
"Got it. Goodnight." He said as he gently shut the door.
I smiled as I snuggled back into Gadreel and felt him gently kiss my head.
