So if you don't remember the first part of this one-shot. Suggest go read it, but I can give a brief summary:
It's the one where Josh and Tyler were broke and Josh goes to get money by being a test dummy with scientist but something goes wrong and he's stuck in a different parallel universe where he has to find Tyler. Come to find out in another world, he's a prostitute, and Josh does everything he can to show Tyler he is more than that. YEP!So this one is based on Prostitute Tyler's life after Josh from the other universe leaves.
Tyler had felt different. He feels dirty. But it wasn't like how he was before as he spent a night away with another older man that bought his body for the night. It was more the dirty, that layer sticking to your body, dirty and needing to shower. That filth from lounging on the couch, surrounded by food and drinks spoiling and dirtied dishes.
His eyes remained red and puffy, creating purple bags below. He can't stop the flashes of that dashing smile. He couldn't stop that want, the feel of hands, of lips, of warmth. Night after night of warmth. Tyler had cried his eyes out enough. Josh, although it wasn't his Josh, had given Tyler the last of his money. Which had paid for his rent and food on the table. It was the biggest pay that he'd gotten from any of his customers. But from what Josh had told him, Josh is no stranger.
Josh is the man that he fell in love with, in a whole different atmosphere. Tyler was supposed to be with him, and Tyler wants to try and go out and look for his Josh in this world. He wanted to look for him and kiss him, hold him, tell him he has waited too long. But maybe, he would react the same way he had when Josh told him his side.
Watching him leave was the worst. The last night, the last night of warmth, of feeling clean, loved, cared for. "Why'd you leave?" Tyler whispered in his what felt like dumpster apartment that he tried cleaning. But Josh is gone. Right?
Well, if Josh came from a different parallel, maybe his Josh was still there. somewhere. But Tyler doesn't know where to start, continuing his usual of stretching along the couch, tissues piled by the floor as he once again cried himself to sleep. Josh was here for a month, he had whispered words to Tyler.
Ranging from his beauty, he told how in his world, Tyler had problems when it came to eating. And he helped him, Josh wanted to do the same for this Tyler. He wanted to help Tyler in any way, as they both didn't know their time was so short. If Tyler had known, he would've stopped fighting with Josh when he barely touches his food and instead he would take the few bites Josh wanted and cuddle on the couch.
He would've stopped yelling at Josh telling him that even though he may be Tyler, he won't work the same way. Not everything works the way it does the first time around. He would've stopped crying alone in his bed and allow Josh to join when he was knocking on his door. There were nights, especially after he and Josh made love that Tyler felt horrible. He doesn't know himself, in Josh's world. But he feels horrible to do this with Josh, maybe they don't work in this world. Maybe it's different.
Tyler woke up the next day, dragging his feet around the room. He's been away from the corner since Josh's arrival. He hadn't touched substance or alcohol, hadn't endangered himself in bars or corners. He's kept to himself, thought things over. And now, today he wanted to feel a different warmth. Sunlight. It was the closest thing to Josh.
After taking care of himself, he was out the door, a hoodie and leggings. He swallowed and breathed in the air thick was gas smoke. He needed to get away from his home, into the busy city and nearby parks. He needed, he wanted to feel fresh. It took a while, but it wasn't like Tyler had anything else to do. He made his way through, the path taking him through a park. It was peaceful, you got your usual of mom's on benches and kids on playgrounds. Men throwing frisbees and dogs chasing. A couple on a picnic. Two high school lovers under a tree. You got them all. And Tyler faced a light pole turned off. He licked his lips, the yellow paper catching his eye instantly.
