~Another encounter~
(Y/n)'s P.O.V.:
I fixed my clothes as EJ knocked once on my bedroom door. I rushed over and opened it for him.
"You done?" EJ asked me, eyeing me up and down. I nodded. "Then take the bag and we are leaving" he turned around and went in the direction of the living room. I quickly went inside and took the duffle bag, pulling it alongside with me.
I exited the small cabin to find EJ waiting for me, and for once he seemed really patient. He looked at me once I closed the door.
"Lets go" he began walking, and I hurriedly followed him. However, my attempts to follow him were quite useless as his strides were long. I was practically running as he walked, and with the huge bag in my hands, it was a bit difficult to do so. EJ looked at me and my struggling form, and calmed his pace till I could follow him without running.
I looked around the forest and noticed the quiet.... the awful quiet. The silence was terribly unsettling and unnerving, and the trees loomed above us like predators eyeing their weak, defenseless prey. It was scary, and so I decided to stay close to EJ.
EJ had his scalpel in his hands, and despite his relaxed state, I could tell he was aware of his surroundings well. Any ruffle in the bushes jumped my out of my skin as the only sound that followed us was the crunching of leaves, under my feet. As I had noticed, EJ's feet left no noise at all, the only sound of crunching was from my get. How is he doing that? To prove my guess, I stopped for a second and let him walk ahead, surprisingly, his get still left no noise, until he stopped and turned around to look at me.
"Do you need something or what!?" He snapped in a tone that cared me more than I already was, his voice wasn't loud, but it still seemed to bounce around nonetheless, creating a more cray tone. I quickly retook my place beside him as we continued walking.
It was unnerving how the leaves only crunched beneath my feet and not his. And the rustles in the bushes was more scary than anything, maybe it's because of all the things EJ told me that lived here. I looked everywhere, and at everything.
The trees were tall, looming and seemingly malicious. They seemed as if they would reach out and grab. Except for the bushes in sight, there was nothing, absolutely nothing. Anywhere I put my eyes on, a leaf, a twig, a branch, anything around it became nothing but a void, until I saw something else.
I looke,d wide eyed at the huge freaking tall tree, it's trunk was thin, yet big, and it was a shade of black. There was no light around whatsoever, hardly any moonlight escaped from the canopy above, and the moonlight that came whined on something white. My eyes were fixated on the odd colour between almost all shades of black and brown.
The piece of paper pulled me into a trance as I stepped closer and closer to it. As I reached within arm length of the stark white paper, I saw what was written on it. No no no no no no no no no, absolutely nine times, and there was stick like figure on the paper, very similar to the man I saw in the woods. I reached my out and almost touched the paper until a gloves hand gripped my wrist tightly, preventing any further movement.
My head snapped to my side, seeing EJ looking at me and grabbing my hand.
"We need to get out of here now!" He told me as he picked up the duffle bag that was on the ground. How did it get there? I eyed my hands and realized I must've dropped it, and the dropping noise must've been what made EJ divert his attention to me. EJ pulled me in a direction that was completely random to me, but apparently he knew where he was going. My body was for some reason relaxed, until began hearing rustling of the leaves and bushes. My mind immediately became very paranoid as I looked in every direction, seeing no movement yet a noise that made fear embed itself deep in my heart. EJ pulled me and my eyes went to him, but what I saw behind him stopped me, making me freeze in fear.
My eyes were locked onto the blank oval shaped moon like visage. There was no face, he had no face. His white face was turned to me, as if staring at my soul. Everything except went a stark contrasting black and I couldn't look away no matte r what. Black snake like appendages trickled out from behind him and spread out around us like a bird cage, with me as the bird. I felt a tug at my wrist which finally broke my concentration, however what I saw was more terrifying than hell itself. I screamed and began thrashing, wanting the creature to let go of my hand.
The creature in front of me was something that couldn't be explained. It body was a entirety of nothing but a deep gray. It's claws were tightly latched onto my wrist. The creature's face was gray, like it's body. It's body itself was like a stick, thin and lanky, it was tall and bending over a bit. It's mouth was nothing but rows over rows of sharp teeth, and more octopus like appendages came out of its mouth. It's eyes were nothing but soulless deep pit with no return, and there was red pinprick like light in them. Instead of nose, it had a hole where the nose is supposed to be.
I screamed again "Let go of me!!!" I tugged harshly at my wrist, and with my other hand I clawed at my wrist with my nails, hoping to break off my own arms so that I won't be this close with it. The creature lunged at me and pinned me to the ground, both my hands behind me as it roared and hissed at me, bringing it's hideous face closer to me. The tall man watched me, his cage was still around us, he just watched as I struggled with everything I had. I could feel the rocks and pebbles dig inside my back, but I didn't care, I just wanted the thing to let go.
I screamed bloody murder as I struggled harder, the creature slapped me hard and roared again, it turned to my swinging feet and it harshly pulled on them, cutting my feet with its claws, until I heard a deafening metal clank that seemed as if it resonated in the entire green forest. It seemed as if I was suddenly pulled out of a trance, a dream that never happened, but seeing EJ holding my wrists together, and my leg away from something, I was filled with relief. My face was wet, and I could tell more tears were still flowing out, but I still didn't care. I looked at the source of the noise, and my eyes fell on an awfully dangerous looking bear trap. The noise was of it closing because of my struggling feet that were almost caught in the trap if it wasn't for EJ, however, as he held up my feet, his glove was scratching my legs, not painfully. Looking at me, EJ slowly let go of my hands.
"Are you okay?" He asked calmly and quietly, but the sound still send sharp pain in my ears. I clutched them tightly, breathing heavily, until I felt something trickling down my hand. My hand had scratch marks all over, and they were bleeding. I knocked the bone above my ears, and after a while the pain settled down, until it went away like it was never there. I decided to respond to EJ's question now.
"Y-yeah, I'm-I'm o-okay" I stuttered out, my throat awfully scratchy, but I know why.
"Do you remember what happened?" He asked me, holding out his hand as he stood up from me. I nodded and took it, he pulled me up, and I took hold of a tree trunk until I was feeling steady enough to walk.
"Good, we will talk about this later, for now, fucking hurry up" he picked up the bag and handed it to me impatiently, I nodded. He walked ahead, and this time with a much faster pace, I literally ran behind him.
Soon enough, we reached the neighbourhood, right behind my house.
