Back when you first met Addison, you really didn't think you'd be anything more than friends. She was dating and was eventually married to Derek. So, your chances then were extremely screwed.

You still stuck by her, of course. It would've been dumb of you to just leave her because she couldn't go out with you instead. You sufficed with being just friends with Addison, while you went out to go and find someone to replace her for the time being.

Hell, even at one point in time, you felt as if you'd gotten over her completely. You found someone nice to settle down with—even if it was for a couple of months—and it became a stable relationship.

And then it started to wobble when Addison admitted to you that she cheated on Derek with Mark. You didn't snitch on her, but you certainly didn't like it. If the person you liked had been cheating on her husband of over ten years, then it certainly wouldn't be a good idea to go after her.

Then Derek caught her in the act, going at it with Mark. So, he moved across the country to Seattle Grace to get away from her. And then Addison wanted to follow, and she really didn't want to do it without you.

By then, your relationship had collapsed anyway, there really wasn't any point in staying anymore. Therefore, you followed her too, which eventually later brought over Mark.

When Addison had realized that she couldn't get with Derek and she didn't want to be with Mark anymore, she turned to you. As a support system, of course, but it slowly, but eventually turned into more.

Both Derek and Mark were surprised, but they hadn't objected to it at all. It was a go for you two, and it ended up working, a lot better than your other relationships had been going.

To the universe, you two were destined to be together. It sounds incredibly cheesy, but it's just a fact, you two fit together like a puzzle piece, even a little better than she had fit with Derek. And they were together for a long ass time.

Stretching, you yawn as you roll over on the couch. You squint at the tv, trying tp figure out what has been going on as you zoned out. It looks like not much, you've seen this episode before, so it's really nothing new.

However, to Addison, it is new to her.

"So—what's the point of this show again?" She asks, hugging the pillow to her chest.

Removing your feet from her lap, you get up, wobbling over to the pantry to make yourself a bag of popcorn out of habit.  There's nothing else to eat in the house, plus you can do a lot with popcorn.

"Uh," turning to look at the tv, you see that you're only on the third episode, although it feels like you've been sitting there forever, "Well, it's a doctor show, y'know?"

"Well, yeah I can see that," Addison laughs.

"I'm going to take a guess that they discriminate him until they like him," you shove the uncooked bag of popcorn into the microwave, pressing the buttons, and then starting it, "You really haven't seen this show before?"

Addison shakes her head, so you head back over to the couch, sitting on the arm of it. She moves her arm from the pillow, to around your waist, carefully pulling you into her side, she doesn't really want you to fall on top of her.

"Who's your favorite character?" You ask.

"What's the main characters name?" She asks.

"Shaun," you say slowly.

"Yeah, that's him,"

The microwave beeps, so you head back over, grabbing the bag, and then heading back over to Addison, to sit next to her. The couch dips slightly as you settle and lean into your girlfriend.

Addison plucks popcorn from your bag, which makes you look at her. She's a little liar, earlier she said that she didn't want any. But here she is, taking popcorn from your bag.

"What?" She laughs.

"Nothing," you smile, leaning your head against her arm as you watch the show.

It's quiet between you two as you try to pay attention to what is going on. Or as Addison tries to grasp what the hell is going on. Her comments on what is and isn't possible comes every now and then.

You disregard them, being a surgeon yourself. The show is generally interesting to you. Even if some of it isn't possible.

"Hey (Y/n)," Addison mutters, "Can I ask you a question?"

"Is it about the show?" You tease, Addison laughs in response.

"No,"

"Then go for it," you sigh contently, shoving another handful of popcorn into your mouth.

Addison laughs at the action, but continues on with what she wants to say, "I kind of want to move to LA."

Looking over at her, she smiles sheepishly, "I know we moved here a couple of months ago—"

"Sure," you say, cutting her off.

This takes her by surprise, "Really?"

"Yeah! We can see some of our old friends in LA! That's why you want to go, right?"

She nods slowly, before leaning over and kissing you. It's a bit of a surprise, but she pulls away quick enough.

"I love you," she whispers, sighing happily.

"All I did was say I'd move with you!" You laugh into her shoulder, "I love you too."

You two really were made for each other.
