You lay down on the couch in the intern room, propping your legs up on the arm of the couch as you place your hands behind your head, staring at the ceiling.

Today's been a slow day today, so there's been an unusual number of breaks in-between patients and pages. You don't mind it that much, it just means you get time to catch up on sleep, or study for your future exams about the hospital... or even worse, the symptoms.

Closing your eyes, you're about to doze off when the door to the room opens, and a group of voices begins to echo off the walls.

"I told you, you would freeze," A voice says triumphantly, "You're hopeless!"

"Whatever at least I don't freeze during surgery," another voice retorts.

"That was once!"

"Can you guys go somewhere else?" You ask while opening one of your eyes and looking in their direction.

"No can do," Dahlia says, plopping down onto the nearest couch, which was only a little way away from you, "This room is for everyone. But, feel free to use an on-call room."

Rolling your eyes, you scoff, "Like hell, I'm going to one of those rooms, we all know what happens in there."

"Yeah, especially you," Levi says, which makes your eyes dart to him, "Oh come on (Y/n), we all know you're dating Jackson."

"Jackson, oh Jackson!" Taryn mocks, her hands are clasped together as she grins at you.

"I don't sound like that," You snap, "Plus, we haven't even had sex in the on-call room, that's disgusting."

"They're a virgin," Vik bumps shoulders with Levi, and you sigh.

The only person that hasn't taken a bite at you yet, is Casey. And you're glad you at least have him, he has to know the troubles with getting teased like this.

"Yeah, sure, whatever you say,"

Turning your body, you make it so you're sitting normally now, but still leaning up against the side of the couch. Your eyes flicker from Dahlia to Vik, watching as they converse through their mind.

"What now?" You ask.

"What's the perks of dating an attending, anyway?" She asks, turning to look at you as she flicks her hair over her shoulder, "Does he have more experience in bed or something?"

"Sleeping their way to the top," Taryn laughs, "They just wants in on all of the surgeries."

"Y'all are actually just jealous over the fact that I get to have more opportunities," You shrug, "That's okay, maybe you'll take your shot at Meredith or something,"

Some of their faces scrunch up at the sound of that, which makes you smile, at least you've disgusted them somehow. Maybe they'll finally leave you alone now.

"So, you're admitting to using him for surgeries?"

"Not exactly, I'm just saying, I'm dating him, and it's not my fault if he wants to spoil me. I don't ask for anything. Well, maybe I'll ask him to give you guys hell."

A smile comes over your face again, you lean against the couch now, waiting for them to come at you again, but no one says anything.

Instead, the door swings open, and you all look up in time to see that it's Jackson, who holds his iPad, looking down at it. For a second, his eyes flicker up and land on you.

"(Y/n), the surgery is going to happen in maybe the next ten minutes," he swipes across the screen, before lowering it to his side, "Walk with me?"

"Sure," You smile, looking at your 'friends', before stopping, "Can Casey scrub in?"

"You did–" You hear Dahlia start, but Jackson cuts her off.

"Yeah, just not walking with us," He smiles, nodding at Casey.

"Cool,"

Waving at Dahlia, you leave the room, walking next to Jackson down the hospital hallway.

"What was that about?" Jackson asks.

"Nothing, they were teasing me and I just proved a point,"

"And that point being..." He prompts you.

"That dating an attending has its perks."
