Fixing your hair in the mirror, you apply the finishing touches. You'd been in here for a good thirty minutes, but you're sure Arizona doesn't care, and she might be in the other bathroom herself.

Every time you said that you were done and ready, she wasn't done yet, so you continued to either go to the bathroom or dink around in your bedroom. Who knew she had so many earrings? It was an experience finding the box.

The flower ones weren't bad looking, but you could tell that she had them for a while. They had that old look to them, almost vintage. Though, she isn't old enough for them to be considered as that.

"Are you done?" You yell from the bathroom, pinning a strand of your hair back in place, before getting out of the bathroom and into the living room.

"Yeah," She says cheerfully, her makeup was probably the thing that took the most time. She doesn't wear it very often, but when she does, she tries to make it look as subtle as possible, so she isn't taking away from her actual look.

"You look fantastic," you compliment her, and a wide smile spreads over her face.

"Thanks, you have all of your stuff?" Shea asks, and you nod.

With that, both of you head out of the apartment that you two have had together for about a year now. It seems like a long time thinking about it, but to you, it really feels like a couple of months instead. Time flies when you're in love.

"Do you know what movie you want to watch now?" You tease slightly, offering your arm to her.

It's a habit you picked up when you learned she has a prosthetic leg, there are times when it's difficult for her, but it's not all the time. She appreciates it nonetheless, even when she doesn't need your arm. It's like a sense of security.

And a feeling a trust, honestly. The fact that she can count on you for something as little as that, makes your heart skip a beat every now and then. It's the little things that get to you, and you can't help it. Not that you would if you could, it's a nice feeling.

"A scary movie?" She suggests you look down at her, squinting your eyes slightly, "What?"

"You want to watch a scary movie? I don't believe it," You chuckle slightly, she joins in with you.

"It's not that hard to believe," She tries to say seriously, but a smile is cracking over her face, showing that she doesn't believe it herself, "I'm in the mood to be scared,"

"You look like you're in the mood for a romantic comedy," you remark playfully, she rolls her eyes, still laughing.

"I'm not the one who couldn't decide originally,"

"Don't even start with that, I'll walk you right back to the apartment," you threaten.

The elevator door opens, and you two walk in. She presses the button and kisses you, when she pulls away, she has a smile, "You wouldn't even dare."

"We'll see,"

When you two had arrived at the movie theater, Arizona had decided on Aquaman, even though Happy Death Day 2 and Prodigy were tempting her. She was set on the horror movies after all.

You didn't believe it up until you got to the window and she asked the girl behind the counter what she thought. So, she went with Aquaman, since the first Happy Death Day wasn't very good—as she heard.

You watched as Arizona pondered over the popcorn and then finally decided on a size. After that, you settled with a Slurpee, while she went with an actual soda, not really in the mood for the iced drink.

And then finally, you got your favorite box of candy, and she skipped out, telling you that she'd much rather leech off your box anyway. You're okay with that, you can get her back later with the popcorn.

Not that she's going to end up caring either, it's five dollar popcorn. The only problem that's going to happen is deciding who's going to go and get the refill. And since you're a sucker for her, it's probably going to end up being you.

Upon arriving at your seats, you two settle in. Arizona snuggles up next to you, with your arm around her shoulders to keep her close to you.

"We should get a pet cat or something," she mutters, scrolling through her phone. When you look over, you see it's because she's looking at cat videos that are popping up on her feed, "They're cute,"

"Are you sure," you mumble slightly, "We're both out of the house for a lot of the time,"

"But—we'd have a little friend," she says, looking up at you.

"Are you sure?" You ask, she nods slightly, trying to not disrupt the comfortable position you two are in.

"Then I guess we can get a cat this weekend," You smile down at her as her eyes light up slightly.

She moves her face up slightly to kiss you, when she pulls away her grin is wide, taking up a good portion of her face, "Thank you,"

You kiss her temple, before going back to watching her scroll through her phone. And eventually, looking up animal shelters to get a cat from.
