Meanwhile...
Spencer: "(bored) And I'm just great."
Spencer is working as a grocery store clerk, bored out of his mind.
Spencer: "(in head) Here's another one."
Meanwhile...
Soldier 1: "The President sure is deploying troops to strange places in this state."
Another dozen soldiers are in a nearly empty parking lot in front of a grocery store. A person leaving the glass doors realizes the situation and hurries to put their stuff in the car and drives off.
Soldier 2: "Spencer Schweers!"
Meanwhile...
Spencer: "God dammit."
The store is deserted except for the employees.
Spencer: "Hold on, I'll be right back."
Spencer's watch appears as he darts out of the building, only to see the dozen soldiers standing there, waiting.
Spencer: "Look man, I'm just try to get some money for my friends and I'm not a fan of you just coming in and ruining my work day.'
Spencer equips his Relay Gear.
Soldier 2: "You think the President cares?"
Spencer: "I think you care."
Awkward moment of silence...
Soldier 3: "(awkwardly) Maybe..."
Spencer: "Thousand Arrow Wave."
Combat is initiated.
Meanwhile...
The girl in the beanie, red hair, and red watch is kicking a can across the pavement.
Girl: "My fucking batteries are dead."
She notices a bus stop not too far ahead.
Girl: "I'll just go take a nap."
She heads up to the stop and sleeps on the seats.
Meanwhile...
Spencer: "Wh-Whoa!"
Spencer is dodging bullets while trying to set up a Mafia Wave, but he needs a second to activate it.
Spencer: "Guess I'd better rely on the attack if defending is pointless."
Spencer stops dodging for a moment.
Spencer: "Iron Fist Wave!"
A strange aura forms around Spencer's right hand.
Soldier 4: "Don't let him touch you!"
Spencer's fist is unaffected by the bullets.
Spencer: "I don't think you can."
Spencer punches three of them in a perfect line, square in the chest of the first and the force of the punch is enough to affect the other two.
Soldier 5: "H-Huh?!"
All emotion has left their eyes, turning them into an empty husk of themselves.
Spencer: "I'm going to wait until I make all of you like that before I bust out the Hellfire Wave."
Meanwhile...
Girl: "(sitting up) Did I just hear Hellfire Wave?!"
Those were the words that made her jump up and not the gunshots being fired.
