Chapter 92: Melissa

The remaining heroes, Marcel, Caleb, Asaka, Jade, Nyria, Jeremy, and Owen fight the strange .

Tyler: "What's your name?"

Melissa: "I am Melissa, but it doesn't matter."

Asaka: "Why?"

Melissa: "Because your will shall fade away by the end of this."

A deathly aura covers the floor around her.

Melissa: "Shall we end this quickly Koruma?"

A ghostly dragon the size of an office building floats behind her.

Dragon: "We can't kill them, but we can torture them to you heart's content."

The dragon fades away.

Jeremy: "Wh-What the hell was that?"

Melissa: "My partner..."

Limbs made of rotten flesh rip through the metal floor from beneath it.

Jade: "If that's your partner, then I really want to meet your enemies."

Dozens of zombies stand up from the floor.

Melissa: "You've already met them."

They quickly realize what she meant.

Caleb: "Th-Them?!"

Melissa: "They've ended up like you'll be by the end of this."

Everyone locks back to back.

Nyria: "Well, we aren't going to lose!"

Owen: "But we might not win either."

Owen begins decapitating zombies.

Melissa: "You plan to keep it a draw?"

Nyria begins firing lasers in quick succession.

Marcel: "Yep."

Marcel turns ten into a pinball machine.

Melissa: "Then I'm just going to watch you all fight over, and over, and over again."

The zombies get back up.

Jeremy: "Well... I'm going to need a year's worth of sleep after this."

Jeremy bashes six skulls in, but his bat breaks into two.

Asaka: "Great."

Asaka and Caleb land head shot after head shot, but the zombies keep getting back up.

Melissa: "(chuckling) Suffer like I did..."

Melissa begins to laugh as the heroes lose more and more energy.

Tyler: "We're getting nowhere!"

They can't get over to Melissa herself to stop the recycling process.

Owen: "And it doesn't look like we're going anywhere!"

Jeremy is relying on his Focus Wave to fight.

Jade: "(pissed) All we can do is wait it out."

They continue the stalemate battle...
