Chapter 38: Origin of Existence

Lucifer: "So that's the blade of the Original One."

Lucifer is examining Origin.

Jacob: "Yeah, and you aren't getting it."

Requiem: "Shall we?"

Lucifer and Requiem walk to the right.

Samuel: "Let's show them a thing or two."

The remaining heroes follow.

Marcel: "So why are you here?"

They stop 36 meters away from base.

Requiem: "We can't say."

Requiem summons a scythe.

Max: "Oh don't you just love it when your enemies keep shit hidden before they get their asses kicked?"

Max's scythe has a hazy aura.

Eryth: "I'm pretty sure no one does."

Shoma's blade begins to drip magma.

Shoma: "We're going to finish this."

Jay pulls out a set of nunchunks.

Jay: "We're just surprised that you're alive."

A gilded light forms around Lucifer.

Lucifer: "You can't kill a god."

Tyler: "Want to fix that?"

Marcel slams his ball towards Requiem as James fires a few bullets at Lucifer.

James: "I don't mind at all."

Neither attack works as James switches to a short sword.

Bell: "I don't think that'll be easy."

Lucifer is gone in the blink of an eye.

Lucifer: "We won't make it easy."

Lucifer has gotten behind Jack before sending Jack 20ft in the air with a single punch.

Jack: "(smiling) Then it wouldn't be fun!"

Jack lands on his feet.

Jake: "Well, uh..."

Jake changes his sword to twin daggers.

Jacob: "Listen, I'm the badass here."

Jacob locks his sword with Lucifer's hands.

Ike: "Not the only one."

Max and Requiem lock blades.

Max: "I could use a little help here!"

Shoma sends some magma Max's way.

Lucas: "We're on it!"

Origin breaks apart into balls of light before reforming when Jacob jumps backwards.

Jay: "(sighing) Just die."

Jay telekinetically sends his daggers around Lucifer's neck.

Lucifer: "Did you already forget Kros?"

Lucifer bends backwards to avoid the attack.

Jake: "Jack!"

Jack: "Rune #13 Soul!"

Jack creates a clone of himself as Jake rushes towards Lucifer.

Alexis: "Max!"

Max unlocks with Requiem as a night sky aura envelopes him and a green light in Alexis's eyes.
