Chapter 61: 0's and 1's

William's team lands on their ship, shocking the crew on board.

Denton: "Mind if we drop in?"

Tori: "We already did."

At least 50 soldiers are on board, all armed with assault rifles.

Emily: "50 against 10? Could be worse."

Soldiers: "Th-They just jumped off the cliff!"

Jake switches to his whip.

Jake: "That's only half the surprise."

Denton aims his crossbows.

Connor: "The other half is kicking your asses."

Nia: "So bring it!"

Rox: "(cracking knuckles) I like the sound of that."

Fifty bullets are being fired at once, making it extremely difficult to dodge.

William: "Who needs to dodge when you can keep them away?"

William and Emily create a cyclone that keeps the bullets at bay around the heroes.

Rose: "(aiming) I'll aim for the heart!"

Rose fires red energy through the wind, getting five soldiers straight through the heart.

Denton: "My arrows are the arrows that rend the heavens!"

Denton gets another two in the head.

Kyle: "You two try to keep those bullets out!"

Emily: "(focusing) That's the plan."

However, a bullet slips through and gets Jake in the shin.

Jake: "Nothing serious."

He heals the wound before switching to the bow.

Connor: "I'll go for a quick attack!"

Connor uses the Quantum Wave to slip through the wind, kill seven soldiers, and gets back inside.

Tori: "You're way too fast."

Rox: "Saved their school."

Denton kills another two.

Denton: "It's good for us, right?"

A bullet gets William in the arm.

Rox: "I'd say so."

Rose: "We're dead if they keep going after them!"

All bows land three head shots.

Ethan: "Then don't let them hit 'em!"

Nia: "We wish it were that easy."

They continue to fight.

Meanwhile...

The gloved male with the stuffed dog and his counterpart are overlooking the ocean.

Male: "I-It's so beautiful Asaka."

Asaka: "Yeah Caleb, but we've been alone for months now."

They can hear bullets a little towards the south.

Caleb: "Wh-What's-"

???: "Caleb! Asaka!"

The last pair is running towards the two at full speed.

Asaka: "Andrea?! Serena?!"

The four unite.

Andrea: "(exhausted) Thank god we at least found you!"
