Chapter 62: One With the Sky

Isaac: "Sup bitch."

Alexis's team have landed on their ship.

Shoma: "Let's deal with these guys quick."

Soldiers: "Just as predicted."

All soldiers are armed with shotguns and they're dealing with another 50.

Cole: "Predicted?"

Jade: "I don't like the sound of that."

Everyone gets ready to evade.

Max: "WELL I LIKE THE SOUND OF BULLETS!!!!!!"

Dominic: "(awkwardly) There's something seriously wrong with him."

Dr. LeeAnn: "(awkwardly) I'm going to examine him later."

Everyone splits up as the soldiers rush over to close in.

Robert: "Well..."

Lucas: "... this'll be a fun time."

Shotgun shells begin to fly.

Isaac: "Hah! You think those bullets will-"

Isaac receives some damage on his left shoulder.

Dominic: "I wouldn't finish that sentence."

They all have to reload.

Cole: "Before they can fire a shell in our asses!"

Cole freezes four in a single cannon blast.

Samuel: "I get it!"

Alexis creates a strong updraft that lifts the six soldiers around her off of the ground.

Alexis: "It's over."

Alexis swings her spear perfectly in a circle, slitting all of the soldiers throats as they fall.

Shoma: "Jade!"

Jade absorbs most of the force of a shotgun shell at point blank, but a little knocks her back a little and a little blood drips from her left arm.

Jade: "Eh, I've been hit with a punch from a wannabe god."

Jade draws her sword while she jumps back.

Max: "Damn..."

Max begins to freeze the floor over.

Lucas: "What kind of fight did you have?"

A shell grazes Robert's shin.

Dominic: "A nasty one!"

Dominic is completely unable to use his Waves to support his allies.

Dr. LeeAnn: "Isaac!"

Isaac decapitates four soldiers in one sword swing.

Isaac: "These mortals do not compare to me."

Robert blocks a few shells with his shield.

Robert: "Don't let it get-"

Robert's stomach growls.

Shoma: "... get to your stomach?"

LeeAnn begins to program on Isaac.

Dr. LeeAnn: "I'm getting ready for another Laser Edge!"

The soldiers are beginning to reload again.

Max: "Then let's kick some ass with them Lucas!"

Max blinds all of the enemies with a bright light.

Lucas: "We'll do it all in one go at the end!"

Max decapitates six soldiers in one swing.

Jade: "(defending) Good to know that we're breezing through."

Dominic pins a soldier down from behind.

Dominic: "Hurry!"

Robert shield bashes the pinned soldier's head, literally bashing his skull in.

Dr. LeeAnn: "(dodging) I'm having some issues syncing up."

Lucas: "Shoma!"

Shoma takes a shell to the leg.

Shoma: "(in pain) How many people are still shooting?!"

Max: "(counting) About... 29?"

The ice is nearing the soldiers.

Alexis: "A single shot can prove fatal if we don't wrap this up!"

Dominic manages to get further away without the soldiers noticing.

Dominic: "Artist's Wave!"

Alexis, Max, Isaac, and Dr. LeeAnn get surrounded by the light.

Robert: "What about-"

Jade decapitates another two before they can fire another shell.

Jade: "That'll give them a boost to the finishing blow, so we all have to better get back!"

Dominic: "That's about right."

LeeAnn has finally synced up.

Dr. LeeAnn: "We're all ready!"

The metallic aura glows bright around LeeAnn and Isaac.

Isaac: "(cracking neck) Let's do this."

The aura glows bright, with 14 soldiers being their targets.

Isaac/ Dr. LeeAnn: "Synergy Attack, Laser Edge!"

Isaac's blade is ready.

Isaac: "For once, I've got nothing."

Isaac decapitates all of them in one swing as the sun begins to set.

Max, Samuel, and Alexis: "Synergy Attack, Gale Ripper!"

The massive gust of wind begins to rip the remaining 13 apart.

Samuel: "I've got nothing either."

Limbs begin to fly into the ocean. 

Max: "Such a shame."

Soon, the soldiers heads fly into the ocean with the remainders of their bodies following shortly afterwards.

Lucas: "I know right?"

Everyone is badly injured after taking shotgun shells nonstop.

Jade: "Good to know some of us can walk."

Everyone takes off their gear as they notice the sun.

Cole: "Holy crap! It's already sunset?!"

They all pull out their buttons.

Dr. LeeAnn: "I just hope a healer is okay."

Everyone pushes the buttons before vanishing...
