Chapter 81: Unstable

Soalious: "I was really hoping that I wasn't going to be kept waiting forever, and look at this here!"

Phillip's team has stepped through the rainbow door as it begins to shut.

Nyria: "Soalious..."

Soalious: "Glad to see that you're all here."

Soalious glares at Cale.

Soalious: "Especially you, that thief."

Cale: "U-Um..."

Xaena puts her hand on Cale's shoulder.

Xaena: "We aren't going to be so lenient like last time."

Soalious: "I wouldn't have it any other way."

Phillip: "And you've also got to remember that I'm the crowning jewel here, just saying."

Thoris: "That's true."

The heroes prepare for battle.

Lariat: "Our forces combined are enough to win."

Veld: "We won't need the others to beat you!"

Soalious begins to smirk.

Soalious: "(in head) You say that now."

Soalious prepares to strike.

Rox: "(excited) We're ready for anything!"

Rox switches to her giant form.

Soalious: "Then come at me!"

Owen and Thoris circle around Soalious.

Owen: "No monologues?"

Both fighters throw their weapons, but Soalious catches them.

Soalious: "I don't need them."

He tosses them right back at them, but Rox shoves them out of the way.

Rox: "No joke!"

The room begins to shake.

Makoh: "I'll go in!"

Makoh jumps into the ground as Phillip creates orange and red flames.

Veld: "If you say so."

Phillip: "Recklessness!"

Xaena: "N-No!"

The flames charge towards Soalious.

Soalious: "Glad to know that your powers are useless on me."

Soalious counters with the same flames, cancelling them out.

Cale: "Th-This bad!"

Black vines sprout from Soalious's forearms.

Soalious: "I'll show you just how much of a one-sided battle this really is!"

The vines wrap around Rox's ankle.

Rox: "(struggling) Let go!"

Cale does the same and tries to rip them off of Rox, but she can't even get them to budge.

Nyria: "Single Point!"

Nyria's laser does nothing to them.

Xaena: "I-Ill try!"

Xaena tries to cut the vines, but can't even leave a scratch.

Soalious: "And it only gets worse for you!"

Rox reverts to her normal size and gets away from the vines.

Lariat: "He's forcing us to hold back."
