Chapter 71: High Five the Sky

The fourth group is Denton, Dr. LeeAnn, Makoh, Connor, Randy, Andrea, Serena, Isabel, Roy, Jake, and Amanda.

Soldiers: "So that sentence was a facade?"

Connor, Andrea, and Makoh are preparing their next attacks.

Connor: "You just had to spoil our fun?"

Andrea: "We're not here to have fun Connor."

Makoh: "W-We're here to end your leader's maniacal ideals!"

Jake, Roy, Amanda, and Denton focus their stances.

Roy: "Were done hiding from this guy!"

Chloe: "We've come here to finish the fight he started!"

Jake: "We've been wandering without a destination for months now!"

Amanda: "We're going to end this for good!"

Denton equips himself in his claw based outfit.

Denton: "That's why we'll high five the sky when we finish this!"

Soldiers: "Really? You aren't getting past us!"

The soldiers open fire as Randy summons Ren and hops onto his back.

Randy: "I think we've got our own plan."

Ren: "What are you planning?"

LeeAnn, Serena, and Isabel get close to the soldiers.

Serena: "You really want to know?"

Dr. LeeAnn: "Winning."

Isabel: "That's all we need."

Bullets begin barely grazing the heroes as they begin the decimation.

Connor: "What more of an answer do you need?"

Connor zips around and begins slugging soldiers at speeds beyond light.

Jake: "If you people can't see the truth, then you're joining everyone else here."

Soldiers: "What truth is there to see? We've already seen it."

Isabel and Roy slice through four enemies as Jake switches to his gauntlets before pummeling another three into the grave.

Makoh: "You're only seeing what you want to see."

Makoh dives into the floor.

Amanda: "(pulling trigger) That's the sad part."

Amanda kills another two.

Andrea: "Look out!"

Everyone gets hit with some pretty nasty bullets.

Roy: "(in pain) Too late."

A lightning bolt flashes in the air.

Ren: "(in pain) For more than one thing."

Denton: "We aren't going to let this finish us!"

The binary aura forms around Denton, Isabel, and Roy.

Serena: "(in pain) We just got the signal, so of course we can't!"

Soldiers: "Signal?"

The aura glows bright.

Jake: "(in pain) Didn't you see it?"

Denton, Isabel, and Roy: "Synergy Attack, Continental Breaker Impact!"

The earth spikes up and skewers dozens of soldiers in the heart.

Randy: "Nice one!"

However, a few soldiers were unaffected.

Soldiers: "Wh-What the hell?!"

The earth returns to normal.

Chloe: "Take our advice."

Connor: "I'd get the hell out of here if I was you."

The remaining soldiers drop their guns before bolting away, leaving the path to the White House crystal clear.

Jake: "(in head) He's waiting for us there..."

Denton: "Let's go."

They stumble towards the White House, thankful that some lives could be saved...
