Chapter 56: Crack the Code

Roy: "So want to do this the hard way, or the hard way?"

This group has 1 sniper, 2 miniguns, 6 strange soldiers, and 3 sidearms.

Lucas: "I'd say they want the hard way."

No reactions.

Rox: "Looks like these guys are ready for a little payback."

Rox has red light envelope her paws.

Cereza: "You aren't going giant?"

Isabel: "She'd make herself too much of a target."

Bryant develops the tail of a snake.

Bryant: "Oof."

Cereza changes into a fox and weaves through more bullets.

Shoma: "Makes sense."

Rox cracks her knuckles.

Rox: "(menacingly) I'm gonna love this."

Everyone takes a step away from Rox.

Robert: "I'm ten times more afraid."

The soldiers take aim.

Roy: "S-Same..."

Everyone shakes off the daze and ready their stances.

Cereza: "We should lower the number of soldiers before we bring out Fox Fury."

Bryant has the claws of a wolf.

Bryant: "FOR THE MEMES!!!!!!!!!"

Bryant weaves his way through pistol bullets.

Cole: "(awkwardly) We've completely lost it."

Rox punches the bullets away.

Roy: "Ouch!"

Roy takes a few bullets to the arm.

Lucas: "I'm pretty sure we all lost it after day one."

Shoma's blade is producing heat hot enough to melt the bullets coming his way.

Shoma: "I'd say that we need to go all out."

Shoma sends a slice of magma that decapitates a minigun user and a strange soldier.

Isabel: "(blocking) Good start."

Rocks form around the feet of the sidearm soldiers.

Roy: "Mind if we follow up?"

The stones dig into the soldiers and make their way up the bloodstream and ripping arteries and veins in the process.

Cole: "And scene."

Cole and Robert finish those two by hitting the soldiers with a blast of ice.

Robert: "Rox, get your revenge."

Rox pummels two of the strange soldiers to bloody pulps as the sniper takes aim.

Lucas: "Did you forget about us?"

Shoma sends another magma slice that finishes the soldier before he could fire.

Rox: "(relieved) Thank god."

The blood red aura forms around Bryant and Cereza as a few bullets get lodged into Isabel's body.

Bryant: "I'll wrap this up."

Bryant changes to a fox as the aura glows bright.

Bryant/ Cereza: "Synergy Attack, Fox Fury!"

They both attack the soldiers indiscriminately, ripping them to death.

Cereza: "It's finished."

The attacks stop as the last soldier's arm flies into the nearby river.

Lucas: "I'm surprised we didn't see something like that sooner."

The two change back.

Bryant: "(exhausted) That shit's crazy."

???: "Whoa..."

Spencer's team has joined up with Bryant's.

Eryth: "(disgusted) My stomach doesn't feel too good after watching that."

Jack: "(smiling) I'll fix that!"

Jack begins correcting Eryth's stomach.

Connor: "So you guys done here too?"

The bullets get even fainter.

Shoma: "Sounds like we're wrapping up."

Robert: "That's good."

They hear other discussions nearby.

Spencer: "Let's get the others through this!"

Everyone nods in agreement.

Dante: "One more push!"

Everyone heads for the remaining bullets...
