Chapter 54: Beating Rhythm

Edo: "So you guys wanted to deal with us?"

This group has to deal with 5 shotguns, 5 assault rifles. and 2 strange soldiers.

Ashley: "I think it was completely random.

Jacob's broadsword transforms into his dual blades.

Jacob: "Okay first off, you fucks are dead. Second, we're the ones with a certain set of skills. Third, why are you even here?"

No reactions as they take aim.

Makoh: "I-I need to dive!"

Makoh dives into the rocky terrain.

Alphonse: "At least someone doesn't have to worry about getting a bullet in the stomach."

Jake and Jacob begin slicing through the bullets heading their way.

Jake: "Stop complaining and get on the offensive!"

Ashley begins dodging with the help of the Regalia Wave.

Anthony: "Chill alright, we're on it!"

Anthony and Edo begin to take aim at the shotgun users as they begin close in.

Jacob: "You'd better!"

Makoh leaps out of the ground before shattering both strange soldiers' necks in one good swing.

Ashley: "Get down Makoh!"

Makoh: "O-Ok-"

Alphonse: "Too late..."

As Makoh attempts to dive back into the ground, but a shotgun shell gets him in the stomach before he can create his aura, knocking back a little bit and injuring him.

Edo: "Ouch..."

Jacob switches to his claymore as the soldiers are forced to reload.

Jacob: "We'll wrap this up and then get that taken care of!"

Makoh puts his arms over the injury to help limit the bleeding.

Makoh: "(in pain) Then please hurry!"

The soldiers reload and focus on the able heroes.

Anthony: "So how're we going to end this?"

Ashley gets close to a shotgun user before shattering his skull into the ground.

Ashley: "Whatever works."

Edo and Anthony deal with an assault rifle user in two perfect headshots.

Edo: "Do it in style guys."

Alphonse uses his dust storm to blow all of the soldiers into a line before freezing them in place.

Alphonse: "It's all set."

Jake switches to his gauntlets and punches another assault rifle user straight into Jacob's sword.

Jacob: "Thought you'd never ask!"

Jacob returns to a broadsword.

Jake: "(in head) We'll do it in one strike."

Jake switches back to his sword as the golden aura forms.

Jacob/ Jake: "Synergy Attack, Future Hope, Rising Sun Style!"

The two line up the soldiers in a perfect line.

Jacob: "Well uh, I'd like to stick around and have some pizza, but you guys are going to die now."

Jacob uses the strength in his legs to slice through the top half of all the soldiers while Jake powerslides from below and slices the bottom half, perfectly splitting all remaining soldiers in two.

Jake: "I'll get Makoh!"

Jake switches to his whip and rushes over to Makoh.

Anthony: "Well, at least the gunshots are quieter?"

They're hearing nowhere near as many gunshots as before.

???: "Holy shit!"

Isaac's team has found the group.

Yukiko: "Shotguns?"

Ashley: "Sounds about right."

The wound is closed, but it still hurts.

Alphonse: "So how's it going?"

Dr. LeeAnn: "As of now, at least half of the soldiers are finished."

Gunshots continue to echo.

Diane: "We bumped into Denton's group and it seems as though we've got some new allies."

Anthony: "Who?"

Dominic: "Their names were William and Emily."

Edo: "Nice!"

Gunshots get fiercer.

Isaac: "Eh, I've heard worse."

Jay: "We'll go on ahead. Catch up with us at base after we've dealt with them."

Isaac's group goes ahead.

Jacob: "We're on it."
