chapter 40

Gemma's POV

for the past two months I've been in my coma, I have heard everything demi has said and sang. every time I've tried to move to hold her hand but I couldn't I could move anything. I was in a little bit pain sometimes but it stopped after a while.

when my family came I just wanted to cry and hug them tight, I mean when Katie was here I was mentally yelling to her saying I was okay. and then when my mother came in, I never had such a shock in my life. everything she said was just...shocking! but! it doesn't make up for all those years.

the past few days I've tried desperately to open my eyes to see Demi's face. its starting to get easier but I still can't.

it was quiet in the room, then suddenly I heard Demi's guitar playing, it was a nice sound. I mentally smiled and listened, then I heard her angelic voice start to sing, give me love.

she knows I love this song, and it means a lot to her too. throughout the song I was trying to open my eyes, half way through I finally got my eyes open, I was blinded for a second but my eyes adjusted and I looked to demi, she was sat in the chair next to me playing the guitar and singing with her eyes closed. I smiled and watched her play. she was amazing, perfect just everything. when she finished she sat there with her eyes closed. I opened my mouth to speak, it hurt but I managed too,

G - that was amazing, her eyes shot open and her head snapped towards me. I smiled at her. she threw her guitar on the floor and jumped into my arms.

D - oh my god gemma your awake!! with all my might I wrapped my arms around her. I started to cry and so did she.

G - yes baby I'm awake now,

D - omg thank God your okay I've been so worried!

G - I know you have baby, she sat up slightly and looked at me,

D - what'd you mean? I smiled at her,

G - well as you said, I couldn't move but I could hear, I've heard everything thing you've said, she blushed but kept looking at me,

D - so what was it like not being able to move?

G - what being in a coma? she nodded, boring as fuck! we both laughed. well I guess its karma for buying a new car, especially that one haha,

D - oh and you! she said and flicked my head that actually really hurt.

G - ow! what was that for! I wined at her.

D - speeding!

G - but it was a green light! I wined again.

D - I don't care, I told you not to and look what happened, I give her the look and she laughed.

G - I know I'm sorry I should have listened, I'm seriously really sorry.

D - its okay I'm just glad your safe and okay now, I put my hand on her cheek and gently pressed my lips onto hers for the first time in ages, fireworks went off.

we pulled away and rested our foreheads against each other,

G - I love you,

D - I love you,

just then the doctor walked in ruining our moment,

Dr - miss lovato, would you like me to bring you some lun- he stopped talking when he saw me awake, miss McGrath your awake!

G - hell yeah! demi laughed into my neck,

Dr - well this is great, but unfortunately I'll have to ask demi to leave so we can run some tests to determine when you can go home. demi frowned but nodded, she kissed my cheek and walked out the room.

the doctor did his test and called demi back in to the room and immediately got on the bed next to me and cuddled into my side as the doctor started talking.

Dr - well you have made remarkable progress, its like the accident never happened, I suggest you rest here over night and you can go home tomorrow afternoon. demi squealed and hugged me tightly, I hugged her back and thanked the doctor as he walked out.

Demi said she was gonna call Max to bring me some clothes and some other stuff. she came back in and cuddled back up to me, with her head on/in my chest whilst holding my waist for dear life.

G - demi you know I'm not going anywhere right? she laughed into my chest.

D - I know but I'm not taking any chances I can't lose you again.

G - well I promise you I'm not going anywhere, okay? she looked at me and smiled.

D - okay.
