chapter 67

Demi's POV

As I walked into the room that has been locked since the day I first came here, I eyed each and every shelf. Each shelf containing a different type of alcohol.

Gins

Vodka

Whiskey

Beer and cider

Wine (red, white, rose)

Rum

Brandy

Tequila

Each type of drink was organised and untouched, I could tell from all the dust on the bottles and the shelves.  I looked at gemma and she was eying up her different types of vodkas. She picked up one bottle and held it out to me. I took it off her and examined it, it was expensive I could tell that straight away because mixed in with the liquid were little flakes of gold.  I looked at gemma.

D- is that real gold, she looked at me and nodded, holy shit.

G- its one if the ones I want to keep, I've never tried it.

D- why are you thinking about keeping any of them?

G- some of them were gifts, like this bottle of champagne. She said reaching up to one of the shelves. This was off Robin Williams.

D- really?

G- yeah,

D- so this has been in this house the whole time I've lived here and I never knew?

G- yeah haha, actually you know the room above us? She said pointing to the ceilling, that's the bedroom.

D- oh my god,

G- well let's start getting rid of these,

D- um how are we going to do that?

I just thought, its a huge waste if we tip it down the sink, most of this is really expensive and there's a lot of it.

G- oh I know, she pulled out her phone. She put the phone on speaker.

RING RING RING RING

K- hellooo

G- hey, how you doing?

K- I'm doing good, yourself?

G- meh, could be better but its all good.

Then I started to recognise that voice, that's keanu reeves!

K- so what can I do for you?

G- well I have like a ton of alcohol here, and I know your having a birthday party soon and I wanted to provide the drinks. I've got everything from alcopops to whiskey.

K- oh my god really! That would be great, when can you bring them over?

G- um, would later tomorrow be okay?

K- totally, your welcome to the party too ya know?

G- sorry but I don't think I should, I'm getting rid of this alcohol for a reason.

K- yeah i understand, we need to catch up soon though,

G- yeah we should,

K- maybe we could even do a movie together! Omg that would be awesome!

G- oh my God yeah! I want to do a movie at some point after I release my next album too.

K- oh yeah when's that?

G- next few months, before Christmas.

K- cool I'm defiantly buying that, your last one was the bomb, look I'll let you go now, speak to you later,

G- okay bye!

K- bye!

Omg I just heard keanu reeves on the phone to gemma, first lady gaga, then her room of photos with celebs and now she's on the phone to one.

G- I'll take all these to keanu tomorrow after we've packed all these. So let's get started.

We started boxing all the bottles into boxes and labeled them. Surpisingly all the boxes fit in Gemma's range rover. I did want her to leave, this was probably the last I'm going to see her for a while. Gemma went to open her car door but I grabbed her hand.

D- please don't go, I know you said that you needed space to sort yourself out, but I'm so lonely and incomplete without you gemma,

G- demi I have to go, I know its hard right now but its for the best.

I started to cry a little and gemma saw it and pulled me into a hug. It was late by now so it was dark. I wrapped my arms around Gemma's waist as tightly as I could.

D- I'm sorry, I'm trying not to, I really am. I just can help it.  I just miss you so much, I've been by your side for over a year and now that we're apart, its killing me. And I remembered that the last time I kissed you was a quick peck before you went to Starbucks. I love you so much gemma.

For the next few minutes gemma was silent, but she stayed in the hug. Then after a few more minutes I heard her mutter to herself. 'I shouldnt do this'  before I could ask her what she meant she pulled back from the hug.

She cupped my face in her soft hands and locked her lips with mine. I was taken back for a second but then I started to kiss her back. I wrapped my arms around her neck and pulled her in close.

I know I shouldn't react this much but I can't help it, she's my drug. I know we ain't getting back together any time soon, but I just can't resist her.

After about a minute gemma pulled, we were both gasping for air. I kept my eyes closed and my arms around gemma. She let go of me and stepped out of my hold.

G- love you dems, bye.

I didn't say any thing else as she got in her car and drove off. I stood there dazed for a second, gemma does love me and I love her, so I know in time we'll be together again.
