A/N: It has come to my attention that people are calling out obvious mistakes on several of y oneshots. Yes, I know, there are some typos and false facts but I didn't have time to check them back when they were first written (in April and May, when I first started this oneshot book). So if y'all would just stop, that would be great. Please don't be butthurt, I'm just being honest here lol

You woke up with beads of sweat dotting your forehead, gasping for breath and tightly clutching the edges of your blanket. Yet another nightmare had jolted you from a peaceful sleep, just when you thought you were finally going to get adequate rest for once. It wasn't the concept of shooting people that terrified you, but the fact that in this one you'd seen Peter die right before your eyes and you were unable to do anything about it.
Nobody else knew about this because you didn't want to worry them so much, except for your dad, Tony. At times like this, you'd slip downstairs to the lab to help him because you knew that 90% of the time he was down there, working on something, whether it was upgrading his Iron Man suit or creating something new. As of right now, though, he was asleep, so you couldn't go into the lab.
Tears were pouring down your face and you were trying to fall asleep again, but failed because another nightmare plagued your thoughts.
This time, you woke up screaming your head off.
Hopefully you didn't wake anyone up, because that would be really embarrassing.
But unfortunately, you did.
Peter jumped out of bed and put his slippers on when he heard the sound of someone crying. He shuffled down the hall, following the sounds of your cries, and knocked on your door. You didn't answer, so he just came in.
"Y/N?" he whispered. No response. He sat on your bed and pulled you close to him, wrapping his arms around you. "What happened?"
"N-nightmare," you stuttered, choking on a sob. "It's been going on for several months and I haven't been able to get more than two hours of uninterrupted sleep for the past two weeks, and it keeps getting worse by the night---" You were interrupted as you burst into tears.
He tightened his grip around you protectively. "What was it about?"
"I had two, and both of them were about..." You paused. "I lost you, and then I heard this explosion, and everything went black..."
"Those are just dreams. The war is over, and you're going to be fine. Okay? Now shh, everything's going to be alright," he said in a calming voice. Then he added, "Don't worry. I'm always going to be right here, alright? I promise."
Peter continued to hold you as you buried your head in his chest and cried it all out. You hated the fact that he was so oblivious to how much you liked him, and it was killing you on the inside.
And he didn't even seem to take notice that you losing him was one of your worst fears. But he was here right now, and that was all that mattered at the moment.
"Is there anything else you need to tell me?" he asked gently.
"So there's this guy, right, he...well...I don't know. I kind of let myself fall too hard for this guy and I don't know what to do because I've never felt this attracted to anyone before..."
"I can't sugarcoat things and tell you love is easy because the truth is, it isn't. But you shouldn't be worrying about it too much about the moment and besides, I'm sure you'll find your happy ending."
Yeah, if it was with you, you thought to yourself.
He rubbed soothing circles on your back as you sat there in silence. "I know what can make you feel better."
