after our session with ikon, we were then given a free time so i decided to call vernon to check on him because we weren't spending that much time together ever since we had our comeback. i mean, they were busy too, and let's face it. we're idols.

we were in yg cafeteria, and my members were busy eating. i wasn't eating yet so i just waited for vernon to answer.

"about time you actually called. i am rotting here," said vernon, making me chuckle.

"then why didn't you call me yourself?" i retorted, and he chuckled.

"because you might be too busy. i can never know," said vernon, and sooji frowned.

"boy, i can easily answer a call. it's not like we're gonna have a call that will last for hours," sooji said, making vernon laugh.

"what if i wanted to?" he joked, and i laughed.

"crazy," i said, and he laughed.

"hey, i have to go. or woozi hyung will practically chase me around with his guitar," vernon said, and i chuckled.

"sure thing, catch up soon," i said, and he chuckled.

"course," he said, and then ended the call.

when i slipped my phone inside my pocket, my members were looking at me so i shrugged and then started eating. i was just about to eat when our manager dragged me out of the table to tell me that i needed to do some recordings now. i didn't say anything because i really need to get moving, so i went to the recording studio.

i saw hanbin on the other side, so i smiled at him. he then smiled back and waved at me, so i guessed that he was going to be helping me with recording.

"hey, sooji, you know the flow of the song already, right? the ikon and azes collaboration?" asked hanbin, and i nodded. as the main dancer, i really need to be able to get the flow first, at least in our group. because mainly, i am also our choreographer. sometimes i do ask for help from other choreographers but i often just do it by myself.

"yep." i said, and then he grinned.

"good, because you're rapping the first part and then gonna sing background on the chorus." he said, and i raised my brows.

"so the first rap is mine, oh. cool," i said, and then he gave me a thumbs up.

"i'm starting the music now. you have the lyrics, right?" he said, and i looked at the lyrics and nodded.

the music then played, and i slightly nodded my head to the music. it was really a good one, i wasn't gonna lie. i furrowed my brows lightly when i was supposed to be starting, and then started.

the music then stopped, and i looked at hanbin for approval.

"you were great, but get in the flow more. one more time," he said, and we started again.

after a few more tries, i was done and he told me that my rapping was good. coming from a rapper, i was pretty much satisfied with myself. i then went out of the recording studio, with hanbin telling me to call hanbyun.

i started walking, when i bumped into someone. i saw that it was hanbyun, so i told her that hanbin was looking for her so she nodded and disappeared off to the studio. i was wondering where the girls were but i just decided to go to the practice room to get more practice but our manager stopped me saying that he needed me in yg's office so i followed him.

what is it this time? are the other girls in there too?

we were still walking, and then halted after a few seconds. i furrowed my brows since we still weren't in the office, and manager faced me.

"sooji, i hope you do well," he said, and i nodded.

"thank you, manager-nim, but why did we stop here?" i asked, and he sighed.

"because i'm nervous for you. but now, you can go. meet with the ceo. he says to only let you in. not me," said manager, and i slowly nodded. it scared me a bit, but i started walking towards the ceo's office.

once inside, since the door was open and he told me to come in already, i closed the door and then bowed at him. he gestured for me to sit in front of him so i did, and then his face turned serious.

i breathed in and out deeply, and then he cleared his throat.

"sooji, i called you here for a reason, do you know why?" he asked me, and i shook my head.

"i don't know, sir," i answered,  and he nodded his head.

"because i am giving you a solo mini album. only you. not your members. i am planning on making you shine. so please prepare yourself for more work. you will also be writing your own songs, and hanbin will be helping you arrange your songs. you can also pick people whom you want to collaborate with," said yg ceo, and i widened my eyes.

a solo mini album? me? alone? but why? did i deserve this?

"thank you, ceo-nim, but why me? of all members, of all artists in yg?" i asked, and he grinned at me.

"because i see your potential. you're the main dancer, right? but i see so much potential  in your vocals and rapping that i trust you can ace a mini album and send the ratings skyrocketing. think of how far you'll get to. your fans will be very proud of you," he said, and i thought about it.

if i accept this, i will have less resting time. but i will have more opportunities and my fans will surely be happy. i became an artist to please my fans, right?

"i accept your offer, sir. thank you for the opportunity, but how about my schedule?" i asked, and he smiled at me.

"here is your schedule. you go to the building at 5 am to 7 am, practicing choreos with donghyuk. i heard you two were gonna be the ones making the choreo of your collaboration. 7 am to 8:30 am, you record tracks with hanbin. 8:30 to 10 am you practice with blackpink for your collaboration with them. 10 am to 11 am, you record tracks with teddy on your collaboration with blackpink. 11 am to 12:30, you record tracks with your group songs. 1 to 3 pm, you practice choreo with donghyuk. we have to focus more on the perfection of the ikon and azes collab because you are the icon and aces of korea, we have to show people that. 3 to 5, you practice choreo with your group songs. 5 to 7, you're gonna have to hang out with junhoe to get his vibe and also learn poetry with him. 7 to 9, you write songs with hanbin, bobby and junhoe. 9 to 11, you experiment with possible beats for your mini album. 11 to 1 am, you make your own choreos for your mini album. then you can go home." said ceo, and i gave him a smile. "you only have a day off on Saturdays, do you still accept the challenge?"

the schedule was really packed and to think that i will have to do this everyday except from saturday. but still.
