it has been weeks of endless schedules and practicing, but i was proud to say that we were almost done with the group's comeback preparation and the collaborations. what had less progress was my mini album because i didn't have enough time to hit two birds with one stone.

donghyuk and i have been friends, too, but junhoe and i have been closer. that guy is literally another one of my best friends now and minsoo doesn't scold him for hanging out with me.

the choreography with our ikon x azes collab was done and we mastered it, so we rarely practice it anymore and went to handle other jobs that we needed to finish.

"sooji?" called yang ceo, so i turned my head towards him.

we were in the middle of the hallway, and no one else was there so i was pretty nervous. i mean, he can be quite scary too.

"yes, yang ceo?" i asked, and he gave me a smile which surprised me.

he gestured for his office, so i followed him until he closed the door behind me and sat on the head of the table. i sat down a few chairs away from him, and he leaned back on his chair.

"your group's comeback is getting closer. it's perfect. almost, so i am saying that you will be having the comeback next next week. but that wasn't why i talked to you," he said, and i nodded my head in understanding.

"about your mini album. so i was observing, and the mini album isn't gaining as much progress in time compared to the group's comeback so i was thinking that we will delay it by a month. a month after your group's comeback, you have to comeback as a soloist, too. eight songs only, sooji. two solo songs, and six collab songs. gather main vocalists of other groups or rappers or whoever you'd like. i believe in you, sooji. you know how i almost put you in blackpink too," he said, and i looked down but nodded.

once again, i feel guilty. it really feels like he is favouring me over the other members of my group, but i was struggling to tell him that. what if he kicks me out because of my opinion?

then i remembered hyojong oppa's advice. just follow the flow. i sighed.

"what's gotten you sad?" he asked, and i breathed in deeply. i should speak up, right?

"because ceo, i was thinking that maybe it was unfair that only i get to have a mini album? a solo career? i know i've trained longest, but what about my members?" i asked, and he gave me a proud smile.

"about time, sooji. i knew i favoured over the right girl." he said, and i furrowed my brows. what did he mean by that?

"what do you mean, ceo?" i asked, and he smiled.

"i tested what your reaction would be upon skyrocketing and leaving members below you. and i just confirmed that you have good attitude over it. and for that, i am giving them an opportunity to have their own solo mini albums as well," said ceo yang, making me grin and hug him all of a sudden.

i pulled away and laughed as he struggled to get his stiff composure. i then continued thanking him, causing him to just smile proudly at me.

"but by this afternoon, you should submit to me who the collaborations you are going to have with," said ceo, and i widened my eyes.

"so soon?" i asked, and he raised a brow at me. "i guess," i said, grinning mischievously.

"okay, you are dismissed, but don't tell the girls about it. your schedule will also be based on how you think you can handle it, but pack it as much as you can, okay?" he said, and i nodded.

"don't tell them about me too, ceo! and thank you for my schedule!" i said, and then closed the door to his office.

i was grinning so wide when i closed the door, pleased by what just happened. this is gonna be so amazing!

"BOO!"

"AHHH!"

i screamed, surprised at who was sneaking up on me. i turned around and saw junhoe, causing me to hit his arm continuously.

"what the hell was that, koo junhoe?!" i asked, and he groaned in pain.

"yah, i am your oppa, and besides, it wasn't that scary!" he said, and i rolled my eyes.

"of course. whatever," i said, and then he smirked.

he then placed his hand on top of my head, turning me to the other direction which made me protest. why was he turning me to another direction when i was clearly going somewhere?! just kidding, i really don't know where to go.

"where are you taking me?" i asked him, and he chuckled.

"i am bored, and we don't have schedule for an hour. so mind if we have a little duet or something? let's record," he said, and my eyes lit up. damn! of course, i love his vocals!

"of course! you know how i love your vocals, right?" i said, and he nodded.

"yeah. wait, how about we try to record that one song that we wrote out of boredom last week? that one about secret lovers and one sided love?" he asked, and i grinned.

"yes! that is so cool." i said, and let him drag me away.

"ijji marayo, saranghae,"

after the harmonizing and blending of our voices, which really fit together, hanbin stopped recording. he happened to be messing around in the studio when we were inside, so he said that he was bored and he'd just record us and arrange the song too.

he then leaned to the speaker.

"nice job, you two. if you just release this, it would be a damn hit," said hanbin, and we grinned at him.

we then removed the headphones, and then met with him on his spot. junhoe and i were then on either sides of him as he arranged and edited the song.

"hey, weren't you gonna release a mini album?" asked junhoe, and i turned my head towards him and nodded. "what's it gonna be like?"

"well, ceo said that i should have two solo songs and six collabs. i still don't know how to approach other artists because i know they can be busy- wait. KOO JUNHOE, YOU DID THIS ON PURPOSE TO BE ON MY MINI ALBUM, RIGHT?! HANBIN YOU'RE IN THIS TOO! YOU GUYS ARE GENIUSES,"

"HAHAHAHAHA YOU FINALLY CAUGHT ON YOU LITTLE PERSON!"
