"my poor baby suzie, i'm gonna go out now, okay?" i whispered, looking at my new pet snake.

okay, i did it. i was holding back for quite some time now but here i am, being a mom to this adorable little snake.

the smile on my face couldn't even be wiped off, ever since minsoo appa gave my baby suzie to me.

taking my bag with me, i waved at suzie for the last time before closing the door to my beloved home. oh god. i almost didn't want to go to sm ent's building, but i had to. i really had to.

as i waited for the van to pick me up, my phone started ringing so i quickly answered it. a lot of calls have been coming for me lately, to be honest. i kinda realized.

"hello?" i asked, not being able to check who was the one who called me.

"sooji, where are you?" asked a familiar voice, making me grin.

"omo, heechul-oppa!" i said, but all i heard was a click of his tongue.

"keep quiet. jungkook is here, he says he has to talk to you or something. i crossed paths with him, and now i'm tasked to pass this message to you. come quick," he said, which made me chuckle before answering.

"alright, i'm on my way. just waiting for my manager. thanks for informing me! i hope momo likes you better now-"

"oh, god. alright, i'm hanging up, kiddo," heechul-oppa said, making me snicker a bit.

as i finally stepped foot into the sm building, i was met by a nervous looking jungkook. apparently, a lot of my friends cornered him, including heechul-oppa.

"so, to the studio?" i said, and then he slowly nodded before following me.

i could still feel someone watching us, but i pretended i didn't sense him. his dreams of being a ninja might get crushed. kidding.

once inside the studio, jungkook sat down on one of the chairs after i did. i pulled out a few pieces of paper and a couple of pens, tossing one out to him.

since the door was closed anyway, we started talking about our secret plan. or, first, whatever torture he went through before i arrived.

"are they really that scary?" jungkook asked, chuckling a bit before i faced him.

"huh? who?" i asked, then biting on my pen. it helped me concentrate a bit since i had a few lines up in my head earlier.

"sm artists. i mean, i ran into heechul-sunbaenim when i was outside the building and he kept asking me why i was looking for you. i'm so glad i got away from him," he said, making me chuckle a bit before shaking my head.

"he's like that when it comes to me, i guess. he really is protective of me, as if he was an older brother of some sort. don't worry, though, he doesn't hate you," i replied, so he slowly nodded. "how did you get away from him?"

he blinked, tapping his finger on the table before giving me his answer. i was quite surprised when i heard it, though.

"taemin-sunbae came and told heechul-sunbae that it had something to do with your mini album. right after heechul-sunbae nodded, both of them walked away. however, he stopped walking and then he told me i should watch out because he was gonna hurt me if i hurt you or something," jungkook said, which caused a few chuckles to escape my lips.

are they that serious? oh my god.

"that doesn't even end there. red velvet came. yeri furrowed her brows while looking at me, probably wondering why i asked for you. and then irene noona said that i shouldn't spend too much of your time because you're busy," he added.

i almost burst out into laughter. they're so serious, oh my god! however, it just made me feel happy and all, since it just showed that they really cared about me.

"you laughing already? it didn't even end there," he said, which made me drop my jaw.

"jeez, you went through hell, didn't you?" i joked, and he leaned back on his seat.

"tell me something i don't know. taeyong came and told me not to be too touchy because you were a woman and i was a man, and that we shouldn't even be put in a room alone. he also mentioned that we are idols, we shouldn't do something that isn't right, or doesn't look right. seriously, my head's gonna split open with all their threats and warnings. all i want is a collab," jungkook said, chuckling while telling me his story which made me erupt into laughter.

it sure did seem like he went through a lot in such a short period of time he was in the building. i wouldn't be surprised if he told me he was a bit scared of coming back to the building.

"didn't you notice kai hiding behind the wall, though?"

"he was there?!"

"yeah, i pretended not to see him. i might crush his dreams of being a ninja-"

it sure was an interesting way to start a day.

i played with my fingers, as my head was laid on taeyong's shoulder. he visited me at home, saying he was tired and wanted to see me. actually, i kinda missed him, too. i was busy and all, that i didn't get to spend much time with him like usual.

"how was your day?" he asked, his voice almost a whisper.

the tv played a movie called home alone, but we weren't even paying much attention to it. it was as if we were just relaxing, leaning on each other as we tried to brush away the stress we had that day.

"kinda busy. i worked on my mini album, i tried to help on the album design too, after jungkook visited. recording and arranging the final songs finishes in three to four days, since i had some other stuff to do. my schedule's a bit packed lately. how's your day?" i said, making him sigh before facing me.

i felt his soft lips place themselves on the top of my head, which made me smile. it was comforting, the kiss. i mean, everything about him just makes me feel comfortable. he's lee taeyong, after all. he's something else, someone different from the rest.

"tiring, as well. but relaxing and talking like this with you somehow cools me down and takes the stress away. but... can i ask you something?" he mumbled, so i nodded slowly.

"you know i like you, right? so much. i saw you with eunwoo the other day. do you think he stands a chance with you? do you like him better than me?"
