"don't you wanna answer that?" asked joy unnie, as we were hanging out by the practice room. 

we were practicing psycho because sm was planning on letting me perform with them, as a special stage. my debut with sm entertainment was also moved to the next two weeks, the producers thinking that maybe a single would just be alright since it's just my debut, and that people in the industry know me already anyway. however, people just know that i left yg entertainment, but not the fact that i went back to sm, where i started.

i will be releasing taeyong and i's song, and then a cover of psycho, and a solo song called back home. to be honest, i'm so excited! i can't wait to show people how i am now, after they brought me down for a while. 

"hey, sooji. your phone is ringing," said seulgi unnie, so i was woken up to reality.

i checked my phone, seeing that someone was calling me. i was surprised, however, to see that it was taeyong, when we just met earlier in the morning. why would he call me again? is there something wrong?

without anything else, i answered the call and then waited for him to speak. red velvet were sat beside me, but they didn't mind me answering the call beside them anyway. they were even sending me expectant looks, so i muttered to them that it was taeyong.

"ooh. lover boy calls our ace," said joy unnie, and i felt myself blushing. what did she man by lover boy, and why? i suddenly remembered what taeyong told me that day.

"hey, are you doing something right now?" asked taeyong, and i fiddled with the hem of my shirt.

"actually, red velvet and i are practicing psycho, but without wendy unnie. i hope she gets better soon, too. we visited her before going here," i said, and then he hummed on the other side of the line.

"sooo... you're busy. by the way, tell yeri mark says hi." said taeyong, and i smirked.

"sureeee. we can hang out later, if that's what you're calling me for," i replied, and then he hummed.

"yeah, i'd pick you up at the practice room? let's get some coffee by then," he said, and i hummed as an answer.

"sure, sure, sure. talk to you later, tyong. bye," i said, and then he muttered a quick sure before ending the call.

as the call ended, i was surprised to see red velvet tickling me like something was going on so i couldn't help but laugh. yeri then hugged me, squealing.

"oh, my god. what was that? talk to you later, tyong~ oh, that was so cute!" said yeri, laughing. the other girls then joined in, hearing irene unnie's hearty laugh.

"yaaah, you keep teasing me about taeyong. we're just close friends," i answered, and then they snickered.

"not for long," said another voice, causing us five to turn our heads to the door. 

i widened my eyes, seeing that taeyong was already there, smiling at me. i widened my eyes and then diverted my attention to something else, but it only fueled the teasing of the girls.

"what was that?" seulgi unnie said, and i groaned. they're not gonna let me live like this forever, will they?

"booming system uh up, ty track, ty track," teased joy unnie, and i covered my face. 

"go on your little date, you two. go ahead, sooji's already aced the dance anyway. as expected from our almost member," said irene unnie, and i blushed.

they're making me feel so embarrassed!

"we're not dating, unnie," i said, and the girls snickered. 

"step up your game, taeyong," said seulgi unnie, making me groan.

for goodness' sake.

as taeyong and i were on our way out of the building, with faces fully covered, i felt my phone vibrate against my pocket. i then halted, checking to see who it was.

"answer it, i'll wait," said taeyong, and i nodded.

"okay. this will just be a minute or so," i said, then he nodded at me before giving a thumbs up.

my eyes widened and i dropped my phone when i saw who was calling me.
