Chapter 9

"Stark, we're heading north east" Nat tells Tony through the com as we finally reach New York

"What, did you stop for drive-thru? Swing up park, I'm gonna lay 'em out for you." Tony replies as Clint banks the jet towards the tower and aims the guns at Loki who aims the sceptre at causing the jet to spin and slow and we crash down onto the street

We run out of the jet and arrive in the middle of a four-way street when all of a sudden a portal opens up in the sky above the tower and loads of the chitauri alien things come flying out."Stark, are you seeing this?" Steve asks Tony as we stare beforeus at the chitauri

"I'm seeing, still working on believing. Where's Banner? Has he shown up yet?" Tony asks us

"Banner?" Steve questions confused

"Just keep me posted" Tony replies and Steve turns to look at us

"We got this. It's good. Go!" I tell Steve as I create balls of fire in my hands

"You think you can hold them off?" Steve then asks Clint

"Captain. It would be my genuine pleasure." Clint replies loading his bow and shooting an arrow at the aliens head nearby.

I run off down the street and come to a stop when faced with some of the chitauri so I quickly manipulate a tree nearby and send loads of tiny bits of bark straighten towards them before setting it on fire, burning them. Pulling out my gun I shoot at any chitauri that get to close to civillians and send balls of fire at the ones on some kind of carriage above me.

"Just like Budapest all over again!"Nat calls out shooting the chitauri from behind and abandoned veichle

"You and I remember Budapest very differently" Clint tells her, shooting more arrows at the creatures

"And I still haven't been told what happened in Budapest" I add in as I manipulate a lamp post sending iron daggers at the chitauri

We continue fighting of the chitauri, each of us watching each other's backs and helping nearby civilians. Thor and Steve soon join us helping take out the bloody creatures that don't seem to be disappearing anytime soon

"What's the story upstairs?" Steve asks Thor

"The powers surrounding the cube is impenetrable" Thor replies a second I shoot of some chitauri .

"Thor is right. We gotta deal with these guys" Tony says as I see him flying around in the distance.

"How do we do this?"Nat asks slightly out of breath

"As a team." Steve tells her in full 'Captain mode'

"I have unfinished business with Loki." Thor says as he swings his hammer

"Yeah, get in line" Clint adds as he reloads his bow

"Save it. Loki's gonna keep this fight focused on us and that's what we need. Without him these things could run wild. We got Stark up top, he's gonna need us... "Steve starts to explain but the sound of a bike makes us turn around and we become face to face with Bruce

"So, this all seems horrible." Bruce says walking over to us

"I've seen worse." I tell him with a small smile

"Sorry." Bruce says awkwardly

"No. We could use a little worse." I reply smiling at him

"Stark? We got him." Steve tells Tony

"Banner?" Tony questions

"Just like you said." I tell Tony as I walk over beside Steve

"Then tell him to suit up. I'm bringing the party to you" Tony says as he comes back into sight with loads of chitauri hot on his tail
