Chapter 34

"Where's your other friend?" Nat asks as me, her, Steve and T'challa stand at the border facing the 'Children of Thanos'

"You will pay for his life with yours. Thanos will have that stone." One of the children tell us

"That's not gonna happen on my watch" I tell her as I cross my arms.

"You are in Wakanda now. Thanos will have nothing but dust and blood." T'challa says to them

"We... have blood to spare" She says as she brandishes her sword with a snarl, and the ships behind her start raising their outer hulls to allow their passengers to disembark.

"Did they surrender?" Barnes asks as we rejoin everyone

"Not exactly." Steve replies as the creatures head towards the barrier

"What the hell." Barnes mutters

"Looks like we pissed her off." Nat mutters from beside me

"yeah well she pissed me off too" I say to Nat

Horrified, as the Outriders bombard the forcefield, squeezing limbs and bodies partly through only to be bisected Okoye comments"They're killing themselves."

As a few Outriders managed to squeeze through intact, the Border Tribe take a knee and raise their shields. The Kingsguard behind them level their sonic spears over their comrades' shoulders, and on T'Challa's command, fire at the approaching monsters. Barnes uses his M249 machine gun, and Bruce fires the Hulkbuster's hand repulsors.

Sending Redwings into the fight as he flies, swooping to fire at them with his Steyr pistols"You seen the teeth on those things?" Sam comments

"Alright, back up, Sam. You're gonna get your wings singed." Rhodey says as He flies over the heaviest concentration of Outriders and drops a barrage of mines, all exploding fantastically.

"Cap, if these things circle the perimeter and get in behind us...There's nothing between them and Vision." Bruce says to him

"Them we better keep 'em in front of us." Steve says

"How do we do that?" Okoye asks

"We open the barrier"T'challa says as he Puts his comm to his mouth "On my signal, open North-West Section Seventeen." He orders

"This will be the end of  Wakanda" A man comments

"Then it will be the noblest ending in history." Okoye comments

Using my ability to manipulate fire I step forward and light my body on fire ready to attack "Since when can you do that?" Nat asks

"Since i've spent the last two years doing nothing" I reply with a smirk as T'challa walks forward

"WAKANDA FOREVER!" T'challa shouts as he crosses his arms in the Wakandan salute and closes his Black Panther helmet, charging for the barrier. We all soon sprint straight towards the barrier as the creatures tumble through it.

Kicking, left, right and centre at any bloody creatures that come my way I burn them to hell. Running forward I jump onto one burning before it can touch Steve and he sends me a nod in thanks and in return I smile at him before heading off to fight of more of the bastards. The bloody creatures don't stop making me fall down as they head towards me and I try to burn them

"There's too many of them! GYAH!" Bruce shouts as Suddenly, a large beam of rainbow-hued light lands in the middle of the action, and an axe flies out of it, wreathed with lightning and tearing through the Outriders, freeing the heroes. It flies back to the light and into its master's hand just as the beam cuts out, revealing Thor a tree and a raccoon. I smile at the sight and get up from the ground.

"AH-hahaha! You guys are so screwed now!" Bruce shouts out

"BRING ME THANOS!" Thor hells as he charges toward the hordes of Outriders, followed by Groot and Rocket, lightning gathering around him until he finally launches himself into the air, lands in the densest concentration of Outriders and makes a crater where they had stood.

I fight beside Thor using Stormbreaker to great effect, and Steve who's fighting of the creatures with the shield "New haircut?" Steve questions Thor as we stop fighting for a moment

"Notice you've copied my beard." Thor says grinning and Steve nods, wearily gesturing at his own face with a shield-covered hand as I see the tree grabbing three Outriders with his right arm.

"By the way, this is a friend of mine. Tree." Thor says as he gestures towards the tree with stormbreaker

" I am GROOT" Groot calls to us

"I... I am Steve Rogers." Steve says making me smile as Thor then walks off leaving just me and Steve "Kat I want to say that—" Steve starts to say but before I let him finish I kiss him like I neve have done and he kisses back straight away making me smile.

"Erm guys we kinds got a situation here" Rhodey calls making us pull apart

"I should probably go and do something helpful" I mutter before heading off to fight more creatures
