I hurried and grabbed my keys as I headed out the door. I'd just made demi breakfast because she was still sleeping and now I was going to the jewlers. I was serious when I said I wanted to put a ring on her finger as soon as possible.

"hello." the man at the jewelers said to me as I was looking throughout rings. "well if it isn't old Joseph Jonas." he smirked as I looked up to see my old English teacher, mr. Conway. "hello sir." i said as we shook hands. "so who you buying a ring for?" he asked opening up the glass for me to get a better look. "my uh, girlfriend. demi. demi lovato actually." i said. he smiled. "well isn't that something. she's a sweetheart, isn't she?" he replied. I nodded.

as I looked at rings, we talked. we talked about the army, college, my future and a lot more. I actually saw him as a nice guy for once, and not just a teacher who's class I dreaded every 4th period. finally I decided on a 4 karat diamond ring for $1,500 and I walked out happy with my purchase.

I wasn't sure how I was going to do this, but I know it had to happen soon. I grabbed my phone and called my buddy Austin. that's who's lake party we were at for graduation when we met. I wanted to do it in that exact spot.
