"I...I've got wings," Finch gasped, reaching out to touch her reflection in the mirror.

"That's not all, Finch," Batman said carefully as he approached his female protege, "Before you woke up, something happened to the computers, and they went on overload. I think the crystal that Joker had in the ray gun gave you these powers.

Finch tried to calm her breathing. There were upsides to this, weren't there? She'd always wanted wings, right? To be able to fly like Hawkwoman and Wonder Woman?

"Okay," She sighed, "I can handle this."

Batman nodded, "Of course you can."

She swallowed. "I'll be right back."

No matter how cool her wings were, they definitely needed some getting used to.

As soon as she left, running down the hall away from the mission room, where the team was supposed to be, Robin dropped down from the vent above the room.

"Don't pester her about it." Batman instructed. "Emma trusts you. She'll come to you and to the team when she's ready."

Batman turned off the computers and left the room, but the team soon filled the gap that he'd left.

"Where is Finch?" Aqualad demanded of Robin.

"Batman wouldn't tell us a thing!" M'gann's voice cracked.

"Well hello again," the team collectively jumped in surprise at the sudden voice, and turned to look at the blind girl, who was no longer asleep.

"Close your mouths, or you'll catch flies." she said.

"How did you do that!? You're supposed to be blind!" Kid Flash pointed out the obvious.

Relying on the sound of his voice, the blind girl sent a small ball of flame at the speedster, missing him by a little less than a centimeter and fizzing out before it could catch anything on fire

"How did you do that?" M'gann asked in awe.

The blind girl shrugged, "I just listened to where his voice came from. Wasn't too hard with his big mouth."

"Hey!" Wally protested. Artemis smacked him on the back of his head.

"So you really don't remember your name?" M'gann asked, taking the blind girl's hand.

"Nope. I can't remember anything. Say, what's my hair color?" She was suddenly curious.

"Light brown, sort of blond-ish," Wally said.

"Honey-brown," Artemis amended.

"And, my eyes?"

"They aren't opened, we can't see." Miss Martian apologized.

"However, you do have two curved scars across them. Perhaps that is what has caused your loss of vision." Aqualad supplied.

She nodded satisfied with the answer. "What are your names?"

"I'm Kid Flash! I have superspeed! But you can call me Wally," KF told her.

Blind girl nodded and stuck out her hand.

"What are you doing?" He asked uncertainly.

"Shake my hand," she told him.

Hesitantly, he took her hand and slowly shook it.

"I'm Artemis," the archer told her. The blind girl took her hand from Wally and extended it to Artemis, who promptly shook it.

"You have calluses on your hand," Blind girl mused quietly.
