Mount Justice.
"Do me! Do me!" Finch squealed, standing on her tiptoes.
Miss Martian, or Megan, as she requested they call her, laughed at the younger girl's enthusiasm. She twirled around, her blue cape changed to black with a yellow underside, and posed in front of her new friends, a perfect mirror image of Finch in uniform.
Behind her shades, Emma's blue eyes widened. "Okay, that's kind of freaky."
Megan quickly changed back to her green-skinned, red-headed, martian self, almost a head taller than Finch. "Sorry, I-I didn't mean t-to-"
"Nonono! It's a good kind of freaky!" Finch assured her, hoping that Megan could sense her sincerity even without her Martian telepathy. They all agreed that was for covert missions only. At least until all of them got a better grasp of her powers.
Megan's nerves melted into a smile.
"Impressive," Artemis, a blonde archer with a hero name the same as her civilian identity, applauded politely, but she definitely was awed more than she let on.
Megan sighed blissfully, "I always wanted an Earth sister, and now I have two!" She squealed, hugging Finch tightly.
Finch was thrilled that she wasn't the only one who cared about her new teammates and friends in this way. She pulled Artemis into the hug. Surprised at first, the brash girl melted into it, if only for a moment.
"Okay, okay, enough sap please?"
Not wanting to alienate their new friend, Megan and Finch apologized profusely.
Artemis waved it off, "Ah, I was only kidding, don't worry. Now Finch, you wanted to learn to shoot?"
"Yup!" Finch held up the spare bow she'd taken from Roy last time that he visited the cave, sort of as payback for when Speedy- now insisting on being called Red Arrow- refused to join the team with them.
Artemis, since it was her first day and she was taking in everything with strict observation, asked her about it after Roy had left. Kid Flash, who had come in late and was extremely offended that Artemis had taken the archer position that he, Finch, Robin, and Aqualad had left open for Speedy, noticed too, and that's when Finch blurted out that she wanted archery lessons. Artemis wouldn't let her back out of them.
Wally zoomed in.
"Helloooo Megan!" He exclaimed, dangling an arm around her shoulders.
Artemis scoffed at his flirting, but Emma was more direct to the speedster she'd known since she was eleven.
"What do you want, Wally?"
"Batman just called," Robin said, entering the training room with Aqualad. All three were eating cookies from Megan's latest attempt, which had proved more successful than her first.
Finch sighed, twanging the string on the bow. "And what does he want?"
"Joker got out. Batman said he stole something from Lexcorp."
"Good thing Superboy isn't around to hear that," Wally said, now holding three more cookies, which were probably the last three cookies in the cave.
"Why's that?" Miss Martian asked.
"Luthor is know for not being very well-liked by Superman. It is possible Superboy may share that sentiment." Aqualad pointed explained Wally's theory. He carefully avoided offending Superboy even though he wasn't there at the moment.
