Mount Justice
~~Willow~~
I tried to take deep breaths in and out, tried to calm myself down, but it was no good. The androids were built to each control one element, like Red Tornado, and one of those elements, unfortunately, included water. They were flooding the cave, bit by bit, bringing it up closer to me, Dragonfire, Wally, and Superboy, who were trapped in its path. The rock barrier that held the four of us bound did offer some sort of protection for my legs, but once it reached my waist, I could feel it gushing over me, soaking my uniform. My skin started itching from all that water. The rock prevented me from conjuring up even a single flame, and I couldn't get away from the water. Well, at least I wasn't dying, like M'gann and Kaldur were, and the water stopped moving just as it reached my shoulders.
All of a sudden, Robin and Artemis surfaced from the water a few yards away.
"Look out!" Dragonfire shrieked a warning to her brother.
The two of them dove back underwater as a couple of fireballs not dissimilar to mine hit the surface where they had been taking a breather.
Dragonfire gave a squeal of both surprise and relief when they appeared right next to us.
"Are you guys okay?" Robin asked.
"I'm fine, but Willow might not be able to survive if she's in the water for too long and Kaldur and M'gann are being roasted alive," Kid Flash put in sarcastically before the rest of us could answer.
"Aqualad!" Artemis cried out.
"Is M'gann-" Robin couldn't finish his sentence.
"She is unconscious. But I am afraid that she...we cannot survive much longer." Aqualad's solemn voice carried down from the docking platform above.
"Hang on, Aqualad, both of you please, just hang on," Dragonfire said, her voice was desperate and filled with concern. She squeezed her eyes shut and Kid gave her a sympathetic look.
Robin and Artemis dove back underwater, and I heard sounds of fighting behind us. My bindings kept me from turning my head to look, but I knew they were fighting the android duo. My suspicions were confirmed when a stray disk of Robin's landed less than an inch from Wally's head.
"Hey, Dragonfire, your electricity powers, maybe you can shock yourself out of this stuff like what you did with Clayface!" Kid Flash suggested.
Dragonfire had told me about that mission, and I had seen how messy the team was when they got back. Yuck. But maybe it would work
She glared at him, "News Flash, Kid, we're surrounded by water. If I get enough electricity to break out of this stuff, that's enough electricity to kill all three of you, if not cause a power outage in the cave so that we won't be able to see a way to escape."
Alright, I changed my mind. That's a really, really, bad idea. I look at my reflection in the blue water, hating it even more than ever. The water splashed in my face and I began to cough. The water was getting closer, and my vision was beginning to get fuzzy. In fact, I was beginning to feel quite nauseous.
"Anyway, why don't you vibrate out?" Dragonfire was too busy throwing her retort at Wally to notice my distress.
"Because I can't, and my nose would start bleeding even if I tried, and I don't think we want another problem on our hands, do we?" Wally snapped in return.
"Wildfire? Are you okay?" I saw Superboy's mouth move, but I couldn't make out the words.
Spots began to color my vision, and my head throbbed terribly.
