Mount Justice

~~Willow~~

I was still a little drained from our fight with Parasite as we returned to Mount Justice via zeta-tube. I was glad that Roy had stopped it with the whole "mole" thing. It seemed like such a gag from the start.

"Thanks to the time-zone differences, we're just in time for Christmas!" Emma cheered as we were greeted by Kaldur, Wally, Zatanna, and Wolf, who licked my chin sloppily and knocked me down.

"Christmas?" I asked, vaguely remembering it being mentioned in Harry Potter. I then sat up suddenly, "We get to celebrate Christmas?"

M'gann squealed, "We need to get a tree! And then we need to cook-"

"Already taken care of," Zatanna assured her, "Wally wouldn't let me forget Christmas dinner," We all smirked at the hungry speedster. Of course he wouldn't.

"We can still get a tree though, right?" Emma asked.

"Already got a tree," Wally half-apologized. "But, we can still decorate it." He grinned.

Robin and Wally were tasked with "Decking The Halls," as they put it, while the rest of us decorated the tree.

"There! I think we're finished!" M'gann declared after twenty minutes of arranging and rearranging shiny colored balls and other delicate ornaments.

"Maybe, I think that there's still something missing..." Zatanna mused.

"It looks fine to me," Roy shrugged.

Connor plugged in the lighting display we'd rigged up.

"It is quite breathtaking," Kaldur said.

"Maybe, but it still feels off." Emma hummed disappointedly.

Wally was now running through the halls wearing a pair of antlers, carrying Robin on his back with a red, shiny garland trailing behind them. "Come on, you guys have been working on that for half an hour! How long can it take for all nine of you to decorate an evergreen tree?"

Emma made to shock them, but Wally took off down the hall.

"Come on, guys! Let's make Christmas cookies!" M'gann took Emma's hand, pulling us all into the kitchen. "It's my favorite tradition!"

"You guys have Christmas on Mars?" Zatanna asked.

M'gann froze. "Well, no, but I saw it on TV! And I love making cookies!"

Robin and Wally were done around the same time as the first batch of cookies, and we each took one to taste the fruit of our teamwork.

And then Zatanna figured out that it was snowing outside, and I was dragged outside under layers of puffy coats and hats and scarves and gloves.

A snowball fight immediately broke out between Wally and Dragonfire, forcing the rest of us to choose sides.

Robin sided with Wally, making Zatanna go with him. Artemis immediately joined Dragonfire's team, as did Kaldur. I went over with Wally, just because I was closest to him and did not want to be caught in the crossfire, so M'gann went with Dragonfire to make it even. Connor just stood in the no-man's-land between both teams, making him the target of most of our snowballs. By the time we were done, Artemis said he looked like Frosty The Snowman, whoever that was.

"I smell smoke..." Connor said while Dragonfire and Artemis still tried to bury Wally in a pile of snow.

"My cookies!" M'gann gasped, making a beeline for the Cave entrance.
