"Yeji! Stop! I'm trying to practice," Jackson nudged the girl's arm away from his shirt.

"What? Jackson, we've been dating for two years! And yet, you still can't stand us touching, and it's not even intimately," Yeji snarled.

Jackson ignored her.

"Okay, I see," Yeji spat, standing up and stomping away. She glanced back at the boy with a glare, You're gonna regret treating me this way.

Once she was out of earshot, she went into the women's bathroom, and pulled out her phone. She dialed a number that she knew by heart, "Sana? Can you do me a favor?"

"Of course," the voice on the line answered.

"I need you to help me make sure Mark's over Jackson. Can you figure something out?"

"Yeah, I can. Love you, sis. Bye," The call ended.

"Bye-bye," Yeji sang.

"Sana?" the boy called, knocking on the apartment door. It was hours after the girl had stomped off from the café, so Mark decided to check on her.

"What?" Mark's eyebrow's furrowed as he noticed that the door was open. He pushed it open gently, and made his way into the apartment.

"S-Sana?" He called again, taking note that the furniture was splayed out across the floor.

"Mark," a weak voice called. Mark's head shot towards the source.

"Oh my god. No, no, no!" The boy panicked rushing to Sana's side.

There were prominent bruises on her face, and her lip was bust open. She was lying on the ground by a table.

"Who did this to you!?" Mark demanded, feeling rage crawl into his veins.

"T-That boy you were with earlier. You-You called him Jackson."

"What?" Mark's hand fell limp, not believing the words he was hearing, "You're sure?"

The girl wordlessly nodded, "H-He followed me back, and he-he," she broke down into tears, "He hurt me."

Mark frowned, the situation confusing him more and more. He gently picked up Sana, placing her on her bed and caring for her wounds.

"Mark?"

"Go to sleep, Sana. We'll talk later."

"Okay," The girl closed her eyes.

When Mark was sure Sana was peacefully asleep, he left, pulling out his phone to call the person that had caused the whole mess.

He felt anger bubbling up his whole being just at the thought of what had happened.

"Hel-"

"Jackson, how could you do this!" Mark felt tears fall when the call was answered.

"Do what?"

"You can't accept me being happy? Is that it? That's why you come into my girlfriend's home and hurt her! You don't know how much pain she's in!"

"I don't know what you-"

"Jackson, don't lie to me! You've changed so much. You're a stranger to me now. Never contact me again!" Mark let out an angry yell after hitting the 'End Call' button,

"W-What?" Jackson let out when the call ended, "I would never hurt your girlfriend."

He knew that Mark couldn't hear him because the line got disconnected.

He was so, so confused, and suddenly, just out of the random, Jackson felt like crying. He buried his head into his palms.

"Jackson?" Yeji peeked her head into the door, "Oh, no, Jackson." She rushed to his side, "What's wrong?"

"It's nothing," Jackson croaked.

"It can't be nothing. Maybe you don't love me right now, but I can be a friend. Talk to me."

Jackson finally let it all out. All his troubles came flowing out like a gushing river.

"..And so, I need help because I-I just don't know what to do. He won't believe me, and he said for me to never contact him again."

"Well, from what I know about you, you'd never do that to anyone. Maybe Mark was never meant to be if he doesn't believe you and goes on assuming what you did or didn't do."

Maybe Mark was never meant to be.

"You're right."
