Elena's P.O.V
I wake up breathless, gasping for air; I had a nightmare, not the usual where I see Stefan and Damon killed right in front of me and unbelievably not seeing Elijah die instead he and everyone that I care about left and I was all alone. The breathless gestures end as I see Elijah place his hand on my left shoulder; he stands on the other side of my bed and looks at me with a worried expression, I breathe heavily to fight off the aggressive depression that has engrossed me as I move towards him and wrap my arms around him for comfort.

"Shh, what's wrong?" Elijah asks.

"Bad dream." I reply.

"It's okay it wasn't real, you don't have to be afraid." He says while comforting me with his warm arms.

As I let go he makes his way to the curtains, drawing them open to allow the sun to glow upon me.

"In the dream I was all alone, you were gone and so was Jeremy, Caroline, Bonnie and everyone."

"I was here all night watching you, I didn't leave once." He says.

"Thank you." I reply.

There is strong knocking at the door, it'll be Jeremy and he'll fret at the moment he sees Elijah:

"Elena, Bonnie's coming over so..."

The door is open and he sees Elijah over at the window, I start to feel bad for what's about to happen.

"What's he doing in here?!" Jeremy says quite intensely.

"Jeremy please." I say to try and calm the unstable atmosphere.

Jeremy stares at Elijah in a fowl mood.

"I mean no harm." Elijah explains.

Jeremy exhales angrily and slams the door behind him as his footsteps begin trailing away from the room. I get out of bed and stumble to the drawers; I pull out a blue top, a pair of black joggers and some pants and socks to get dressed into.

"I'll talk to him but I need to shower first." I say to Elijah as I leave the room.

I make my journey to the bathroom, I enter and switch on the shower, I lay my clothes on top off the washing basket as I wait for the water to heat up. Soon there is steam coming from the shower meaning that out is finally warm, I undress and step inside letting the the warm drops spray onto me like I'm in the heat of the Sahara. After I am dry and wrapped up in a clear white towel I wipe the Stan from the large mirror in front of the sink do I can see myself while I use the hairdryer. Finally my hair is dry I begin to get dressed, I leave and walk down the hall towards the kitchen; where Elijah stands filling up a bowl with muesli cereal.

"Elijah." I speak surprised.

He looks up at me and smiles a little as he lifts up the container of milk, unscrews the lid and pours it into the bowl.

"What is this?" I ask.

"I made you breakfast." He explains.

Jeremy walks in to the kitchen with Bonnie following him behind, I look at Jeremy concerned that he is about to yell, but Bonnie walks forward to hug me tight, I hold her tightly as well until I notice Jeremy ignoring us all and looking at the floor.

"I'm sorry Elena." He says seriously.

"No Jeremy, I..."

Jeremy raises his hand to stop me from speaking:

"I spoke to Elijah, he reminded me that he saved you and I shouldn't be mad with you, and he's right, your my sister Elena and I'm your brother, we're family." He tells me.

I run to him and put my arms around him feeling thankful.

Bonnie walks to us and holds Jeremy's hand as she explains:

"We're going to trust Elijah and Klaus and Rebekah, together we will try and solve this witch's curse."

"Ok." I reply.

"Jeremy and I are going to go, I'm gonna try and study my grimoires, see if I can figure anything out."

"You stay here with Elijah, be safe." Jeremy orders.

I nod in agreement, they leave and I turn to face Elijah and walk to get the bowl of muesli he made for me.

"Thank you." I tell him.

He places his hand on top of mine and I smile at him, he smiles back.

Caroline's P.O.V
I completely forgot, the dance even though it's close to Halloween. Whitmore college is having a school dance tonight and I haven't asked anyone, it'll be nice to have a happy night again but who am I going to ask?

I take my phone out of my pocket and call Elena and she answers right away:

"Hey Elena, did you remember the dance that's happening tonight?"

"Oh, um I guess I forgot." She answers.

"Well we have to go, you, me and Bonnie, let's go and pick out dresses together later on."

"Ok, sounds great."

"Meet me in town at four."

"Got it."

I hang up and put my hands together and feel like I'm jumping with joy, I text Tyler and Matt inviting them; they send me back texts replying:

"Will be there" and "Sure thing Care."

I make my way back to my room to get ready, when I go inside I see a box on top of my bed with a note attached to it which reads:

"Save me a dance love." From Klaus.

I sigh at the note, I can't believe Klaus is going to be there; might as well open his gift I think to myself. I open up the box to find a light green ball gown inside with white gloves and a beautiful silver locket.

"Klaus." I say while giggling and getting ready to try it on.

Bonnie's P.O.V
My phone beeps, I take it out and look to see that Caroline has texted me:

"Dance tonight, see you there."

"What is it?" Jeremy asks.

"There's a dance tonight." I reply.

"You going?"

"Yeah." I tell him.

"Mind if I tag along with you Bon?"

I stare at him for a moment speechless and smiling awkwardly.

"Sure." I reply.

Jeremy parks the car up outside Fells church, I can't work my magic now not when I have a party to prepare for.

"We'll deal with this tomorrow, come on let's go do some shopping."

"Ok, here we go." Jeremy says while putting the car back in gear.

"Everything ok?"

I stop looking through my closet and turn to face Elijah who is standing at my open door.

"Yeah, fine." I say.

I have to ask him I tell myself.

"Um, Elijah I know that this is maybe a little weird but there's this dance at my college tonight and I was wondering if perhaps you would like to go with me?"

A smile widens across his face, his eyes close for a moment when he opens them again he says:

"It would be my honour to accompany you."

I smile joyfully.

"Great, well I can hardly wait." I say.

Elijah walks away, I decide that he should wear my dads old suit, I have stashed up the top of my closet, I grab the box and pull it down and lift the suit out, it looks as good as new, now all I need is a dress, but which one?
