Caroline's P.O.V
Elena and I continue making our way through the woods until it's just me on my own: where's Elena?
"Elena, where are you? Is this some kind of prank?"
As I carry on searching for Elena a strange shiver begins to trickle down my spine; it must be him.
I've nothing to say and neither does he, when I turn to face him he looks at me also not saying anything.
"I thought I'd find you here." I say to him with a short smile.
He speeds towards me and stares at me deep in the eye.
"I always knew you'd turn up one day and let me show you what the world has waiting out there for you."
"I'm still way too smart to be seduced by you."
"I know, that's what I love about you."
Klaus is only an inch from me, I can't think of anything.
As I edge in closer to Klaus I finally think of something to say:
"I'll see the world and I'll be with you, that's all I want."
"And so you shall have it." Klaus replies.
I drop my bags and hug Klaus tight.
"You once told me that as a vampire you're free, you were right we both are and I don't loathe the parts of myself that care about you because they're all that I care about right now."
"You know, there are probably so many reasons that have kept us apart but they don't matter now and I'm tired of them, every single one."
I am speechless but I feel the same way.
"You are my path, my life, I love you Caroline."
"I love you Klaus."
We kiss and I feel like anything is possible because I have Klaus with him I'll have everything I want.
"Where's Elena?" I ask.
"She's fine. She's with Elijah."
Elena has Elijah, she has everything just as I do.
"So, tell me what's out there, what will we see?"
"Great cities, art, music and truly magnificent beauty."
"Together." I extend my hand.
Klaus takes it and pulls me in to him, he holds me ode and kisses me passionately.
Our lips are parted and I look at him with pure affection and I feel in love and excitement.
"Let's go, the world awaits." Klaus tells me.
I give him a bright smile and follow him gladly, the pages are turning for me, in fact when it's over I'll have turned over an entire novel and my life will never be the same, just as I want it to be.
'Forever.'
