IVY'S POV
*we were sitting at our gate when joey laid his head on my lap. i look down at him and play with his hair. he smiles and closes his eyes. i lean down and kiss his cheek softly. he grabs my other hand and intertwines our fingers. i smile big and rest our hands on his chest as i play with his hair.*

joey- i love you so much

ivy- i love you more

joey- you so wish that was true

ivy- i don't need to wish, it is true

sophia- you don't need to be snobby to my brother if you really loved him

joey- sophia can't you just shut your mouth already. you're being so rude

sophia- not my problem that she doesn't love you

ivy- i do love your brother. he's helped me through a lot and i can't thank him enough for that.

sophia- yeah because your life is so horrible, i only have my mom

joey- she only has us sophia. grow up and learn how to treat people

sophia- so ivy, why do you love my brother?

ivy- that's my business, i'm sorry but i'm not telling you

sophia- see joey, she can't even say why she loves you

joey- you're so annoying, why can't you just be nice?!

*joey stands up and walks to another row of seats. he holds my hand so i go with him and i sit back down. he lays how he was earlier and holds my hand close. i intertwine our fingers and look at him.*

joey- i'm so sorry about her

ivy- it's okay baby, don't worry

joey- but it's not. you want to change your life around and be happy but she's just making it harder

ivy- i'm not crying and i'm not upset. she's just trying to get rid of me

joey- you know everyone else in my family loves you right?

ivy- now that you told me, yes i know

joey- we won't let her push you away

ivy- i know you won't. i have a question though

joey- yes?

ivy- you do know why i love you right?

joey- of course i do baby. you don't need to worry about that

ivy- okay i just wanted to make sure because i can't lose you

joey- and you won't

*i look down at him and smile as our flight number is called. he stands up and puts his hand out for me. i hold his hand and stand up after pulling out my boarding pass. he kisses my forehead causing me to giggle and we get in line. the lady scans all of our boarding passes but sophia's doesn't seem to be working. jen gets worried and tells joey, bella, and me to board the plane and she will stay with sophia to figure everything out. once we got on the plane, i look out the window and buckle the seatbelt that is attached to the seat. joey puts a movie on his phone and hands me one of his headphones. i start chewing a piece of gum, put in the headphone, and we take off.*
