It is finally Friday and my weekend had officially started. I just have a few readings and one quiz for my stats class and I could enjoy my three days off. I would first go to the gym and then head over to the library and study. I always focused better when I was outside of my apartment surrounded by other people and I really wanted to maximize my productivity today. Adam was supposed to visit me tomorrow so I needed to get as much schoolwork done today as possible.

I change out of my pajamas and into my workout clothes before heading to the gym on campus. I grab my earphones and water bottle before stepping out. Luckily there weren't too many people in the squat rack/ deadlift room so I could get a good workout in. It was leg day and the goal was to be completely sore tomorrow. I begin with the deadlifts and then do a few sets of back squats followed by back lunges and hip thrusts. I have just enough energy to finish with a couple sets of ab exercises and 10 minutes on the bike. Once back at my apartment I mix up a protein shake before showering. After the shower, I wrap myself in my towel. I walk to my closet, pick my outfit for the day, and apply light makeup.

I finish packing up my laptop, a novel, notebooks, and my pens in my book bag. I grab some leftover tofu and mushroom stir fry and a banana to snack on later. As I am locking the door, I look to my side and a thought occurs to me. I walk over and knock on apartment 3102. I wait for a few moments and when I do not hear a response I figure that Jimin's not home.

I turn to walk away when the door swings open and Jimin smiles at me. "Ah annyeonghaseyo Jenna. It's good to see you, how are you?"

"I'm great thanks. Actually I'm umm on my way to the library to get some work done and just thought I'd invite you if you were interested and had some time."

"Yeah I can go. I don't have class for a couple of hours and have a few things I need to get done. Just give me five minutes to get ready."

"For sure, I'll just wait for you here."

"Okay I'll be right back."

As I wait for him I feel my phone vibrate in my back pocket. I pull it out and see my mom is calling me.

"Buenos días mamá." (Good morning mom)

"Hola Tina. ¿Estás ocupada?" (Hi Tina, are you busy?)

"Tengo unos minutos libre. Voy a ir a estudiar con Jimin ahorita. ¿Qué pasó? (I have a few minutes to spare. I am going to study with Jimin right now. What happened?)

"Ay con el amigo guapo. Entonces no te detengo." (Oh with the handsome friend. Then I won't hold you up.)

I laugh and see Jimin walk out and close the door behind him. I signal that I need a minute.

"No es así ma, dime, ¿que pasó?" (It's not like that mom, tell me, what happened?)

"Nomás quería saber si vas a venir a visitarnos este fin de semana?" (I just wanted to know if you were going to come visit us this weekend?)

"Hmm pienso que no voy a tener tiempo esta vez. Mañana voy a pasar el dia con Adán y tengo mandados el domingo. Pero trataré de ir la próxima semana." (I don't think I'll have time too. Tomorrow I am spending the day with Adam and I have errands on Sunday. But I will try to go next week.)

"Esta bien mija, entonces hablaremos más al rato. Adios." (It is okay, we will talk later then. Bye)

"Sí hasta la próxima. Adios mamá." (Yes until next time. Bye mom)

I end the call. "Sorry about that, my mom called me. Ready to go?"

"Oh don't worry about it. And yeah let's go." We begin walking and he immediately adds "And wow! You sound so charming speaking Spanish."

I can't hold back the huge smile forming on my face. "Aw thanks. I used to be insecure about my Spanish but I've gotten better. Do you speak any?"

"No not at all. I only know a few words. Like I understood when you said 'ahhdeeyos' but that's about it."

I giggle at his pronunciation.

"What? Did I say it wrong?"

"No, well kinda. You are stressing the vowels just a smidget too much. They are softer like 'adios'" I say.

"Adeeos" he replies.

"Yeah that's better."

"Cool. Maybe you can teach me a thing or two."

"Definitely! And you can help me practice my Korean."

"For sure. When was the last time you spoke it?"

I smirk. "Umm does this morning while I was singing in the shower count?"

He laughs too. "I'd say yes."

"Great. You need to help me though."

"Well I'm right next door if you ever want to bug me."

We walk into the library and find an empty table by a large window.

He sits across from me.

"Do you like sitting by the windows?" he inquires.

"Yeah. I just prefer seeing the sunlight and not being trapped in a windowless area."

"I noticed, you were by the window during class too. Now I'll know where to find you." He gives me a wink.

I smile back. Was I imagining it or was he being flirty today?

I try not to over analyze and focus on getting through my readings instead.
