'This is happening... Gina is in full psycho mode right now and  have to fight her...'

I found myself standing in pace, my mouth parched in anxiety as the nerves from before multiplied by the tens.

"Begin!"

As those dreaded words left Midnight's lips my heart leaped from my chest.

'Oh shit.'

But no sooner had the match begun, Gina was out of my sights and my blood ran cold as a shadow loomed from behind me.

A sharp pain stabbed my body as I was pushed onto the arena floor. Lifting my head from the ground I could already feel the bruises forming on my arms and legs.

'The match only just started and I'm already on the ground,'

"Only seconds within the match and already it's an intense battle!"

Setting my unnerving gaze on the girl who slowly edged closer to my fallen form, her eyes once again dark but that wasn't the most pressing issue at hand.

Gina's arms were already covered in stone.

"Yakatama's quirk is forming at a fast pace!"

'That should have taken five minutes tops! That was my last advant-'

To lost in my thoughts, I suffered another hit in the back, the force cracking the pavement slightly. Groaning loudly, I swung my already ignited arm back, amping the flames at a larger volume pushing her back with the intensity of the heat. Rolling away I god back onto my feet, turning just in time to catch Gina already advancing towards me, her rock covered fist raised.

But before Gina could lay the hit, I ignited a large wall of flames, jumping through at the last second lading a punch at my opponent's jaw, successfully pushing her back and disorienting her. Before she could react, I slammed my body into hers both of us fall ing to the ground.

"L/n turns the tables and now has the upper hand!"

Her hand came into contact with my nose. My eyes watered. My vision blurred. My nostrils bled. My ears rang from the shouting of the crowd.

"But it was short lived by Yakatama's quick recovery!"

Then. There it was.

'An opening.'

Giving off a coy smirk I raised my fist enveloping my arm in flares. Gina was quick to react as the stones around her forearms traveled throughout her entire body, her dimension nearly doubling in height, her shadow looming over me once more but with much more volume. She raised her fist. People yelled. They screamed.

"Yakatama's quirk is enough nightmare fuel to strike fear into any opponent!"

But still, that smirk never left my lips as my flames bounded outwards before wrapping around me, our form slowly matching in elevation. We came nose to nose, bodies drained from energy. My body ached as the flames covering my body made me sweat profusely.

"Has L/n been hiding this secret move!? What a turn of events!"

Before my actions could set into the crowd I swiped Gina's legs out from under her. Her now heavy body crumbling the arena as she made contact. Not reacting to the shaking of the stadium, I gripped Gina's wrists, making sure she couldn't defend herself. I pulled her body towards the borders, the rocks under my lit hands slowly melting and turning into a lava-like state.

"L/n is literally heating things up now! That girl is physically melting away Yakatama's quirk down to the bones!"

Nearly inches away from victory Gina's foot slammed into my side, my grip on her faltering as I stumbled back on an angle. Taking extra care so I wouldn't walk myself out of bounds.

I panted slightly trying to catch my breath. But as soon as I got air into my burning lungs, it was knocked out, my body crumbling to the ground as I laid on my back, my fingers anding centimeters from the white line. Snapping my head back to the 'enemy' at hand, my gut turned sour, as she was in mid-jump, prepared to shove me out of bounds.

"L/n is nearly out of bounds! This could be the end ladies and gentlemen!"

Out of fear my quirk deactivated. The uniform that covered me was long gone and replaced by a sports bra and shorts that were specially made by Momo. My form shrank back to its normal size as I curled up in a ball, hands over the top of my head. A cold wave cast over me as my mind went blank with white noise. The ground trembled, along with my body as a sudden roar came from the tensed audience. My eyes opened wide from their shut position as I saw the scene before me.

"And there you have it, folks! After that intense battle, L/n continues into the next round!"

Gina stood up from her kneeled state, her back turned to me. Her body back to its original size but still sprinkled in stones. Looking over her shoulder, her eyes met mine. But the smile on her face betrayed the solemn look in her eyes as she stared at me...from across that white line.

I couldn't help the smile that spread wide on my lips as I laughed in shock.  Before I knew it I jumped from my spot on the ground and into Gina giving her a tight hug that burned my muscles sorely. Her hand slowly sat on my back giving a small squeeze in return. Breaking the hug I gave the brunette a large, ear to ear grin.

"You did amazing! That was the most intense battle I've ever had in my life!" Trying my best to cheer up the girl, I gave her a small punch in the shoulder before laughing at her slightly pained expression, "And why the hell didn't you say anything about your quirks speed increase! Do you know how bad that scared the shit outta me!?"

Gina's lips finally cracked a smile before laughing slightly. "Says the one who suddenly went all fire giant on me! The last time you pulled that stunt was when we were in third grade and that girl stole your smelly marker,"

"It was my favorite one! What else would you do in that kind of situation!?"
