-Reader's POV-

Trailing behind the electric heroine, I fanned my still heated face, the blush on it, seeming to never dissipate. I huffed in frustration, which ignited a small chuckle from Vivian herself.

"Now, I know you just got asked out on a date by a cute boy, but sadly we heroes have some work to do! The only rule as of now is, if you see any villains, just let me take care of them- Oh! and take some notes on fighting styles and how to handle them."  Vivian turns on her heel but continues to walk backward as she waved her pointer finger in my direction.

"So I can't do any actual fighting?" I questioned, slightly disappointed in the rather obvious fact.

"Sorry squirt, but you aren't allowed to fight until you get your license, or unless I give you permission- but I am holding off on that until I know for certain it's a weaker criminal," Vivian gave me a sad smile, and her shoulders slumped down a little.

"Oh! No, it's fine! I understand! If I get into any kind of trouble you would be held responsible right! And besides on top of all that wasn't there a recent villain attack here that landed a hero in the hospital?" Vivian's smile faltered into a confused glance, as her eyebrows raised in curiosity.

Opening her mouth to speak, Vivian was cut short by the sound of glass shattering, both of our attentions immediately torn from each other and onto a fragmented window.

"Stay back, make sure the citizens clear the area," Giving a stong nod at the hero, I watched as she brushed her finger along her ear cuff, the lightning bolt-shaped earring on her lobe shined brightly as an inaudible voice spoke through the device, "Ayu, can you have authorities arrive at my location? There is robbery at the Jewelry Store."

With that said, Lumify began her way towards the jewelry store only to freeze in her tracks when a small bead was tossed out of the shattered window.  A large cloud of smoke came from the bead as it hit the cement. Lumify immediately yelled for all civilians to clear the area.

Taking that as my signal, I hurried over to an older looking man, his grandchild sobbing and refusing to move from his spot.  I picked up the sobbing child carefully before taking the elder man by the shoulder and directing them further away from the scene.

"Thank you, young lady," Seeing as they were now far enough away from the store, I placed the younger boy by his grandfather, his tears now slowing as he wiped them away fiercely.

"Please steer clear of the area until further notice, the issue is being taken care of! Keep safe you two!" Jogging away from the two I looked back to Vivian as she dodged a punch from the newly revealed villain.

His arms were covered in pearl and plastic beaded bracelets, all of which had the same circular shape as the jewels in his rather large duffle bag.

"Hestia! Is everyone evacuated?!" Vivian yelled, using my hero name without a second thought.

Checking around the area, the surrounding people seemed to be far enough away from the area. "Yeah, it's all clear!"

Vivian didn't respond, as her opponent swept under her legs, her reflexes kicking in as she jumped out of the way just in time. Her legs sparking with blue electricity as she kicked the villain with a powerful force. The man smashed his back against the jewelry shops, brick wall, as his body slumped and slid down to the cold floor.

Vivian turned on her heel, her bright smile blinding me as she pointed one finger at me.

"You see that kid?! That's what I like to call a can of whoop-ass!" I laughed lightly, as Vivian's footsteps grew closer, but suddenly stopped.

Opening up my (e/c) orbs, watching as Vivian yawned. Almost immediately after she dropped to the ground, an evil cackle sounding behind her.

"Iluminasity!" Rushing to the hero, I dropped to my knees, the loose rock below scrapping them slightly. Hearing a laugh once again I darted my eyes onto the bracelet wearing man, his eyes hazed over in a darkened state. A broken beaded necklace hung in his hands, his fingers grasping the object in a tight grip.

"Hah, She thought I would go down that easily!? And now her brat has to take care of her mess,"

I placed the man's words at the back of my mind, lifting Vivian by her shoulders and dragging her across the street, placing her against a nearby building. Hearing beads fall, I quickly covered my nose and mouth with my jacket collar. I set my arm ablaze, swinging it around, just missing the criminal as he attempted to attack.

Smoke covered my vision, the mist around my fired arm quickly being eaten up by the flames. Darting my eyes in every direction, the smoke beginning to burn my eyes.

"A fire quirk?"

A chill ran up my spine feeling the man's hot breath on the back of my neck. Kicking behind me, my heel came into contact with the man's groin area, causing him to yell out in pain, dropping to the ground once again.

Once he fully dropped, I hurriedly stripped him from his jewelry bag, taking his plethora of bracelets off his arms as well.

'His quirk must have something to do with making smoke grenades out of gems,'

Pushing the man forward with my boot, I made sure to toss the bag away from the crook. Placing my hand on his head, making sure it was digging into the ground.

"Make one foul move and I'll fry you," I threatened, knowing well enough that I wouldn't really 'fry' him.

Looking back to Vivian I sighed seeing her shift slightly in her sleep.

'It must've been some sort of sleeping gas,'

Hearing police sirens, I smiled to myself as a warm feeling made itself to my chest.

'Being a hero is freaking awesome!'
