-Y/n's POV-
As I tailed behind Todoroki, we walked down the vanilla painted halls, the smell of bleach stinging the inside of my nose. Watching as yet another pair of nurses walked past us, I cleared my throat, looking at the back of Todoroki's head.
"Todoroki, where are-"
"Ah! Todoroki!" I stopped myself as a tall female nurse stood near a young boy on crutches. Her arms were placed gently on either side of the boy being careful in case he were to fall due to the lack of experience of being on them. "Glad to see your back so soon, and with a friend no less! You can go right on back, I'll check you in once it et back to the front desk,"
"Right, thank you," Todoroki continued on his way as the nurse gave me a small wave.
I chuckled nervously, returning the gesture before turning to catch up with the dueled haired boy. Finally meeting the boy at his side, we walked down the halls. Todoroki's eyes looked on straight ahead, as mine looked up at him quizzically.
"Why did you bring me to the hospital again?" I questioned, turning my gaze from him to a small painting across the hall. Todoroki came to a stop, lifting his fist to gently knock on the door.
"I wanted you to meet someone." Before I could further question the taller boy, a soft-spoken 'come in' echoed from behind the white plastic door, a nameplate reading; Todoroki Rei adorned the front of it as Todoroki grasped the door handle, sliding opening it slowly.
"Ah! Shouto! Your back, I wasn't expecting you today," Peeking from behind Todoroki's shoulder, my eyes widened slightly. "Oh, who's this?"
Todoroki, took a step back, closing the sliding door behind us. Turning back to the two of us, he let out a quiet sigh, his hand finding the back of his neck sheepishly.
"Mom, this is L/n, a friend from school. L/n this is my Mother,"
Snapping out of my small daze, I was quick to take a step towards the smaller, grey-eyed woman. Her shoulder-length hair drooped slightly over her tired eyes as she gave a gentle smile.
bowing down in front of her, I swallowed down the small hint of nerves that crawled there way up from my stomach.
"I am so sorry to be intruding on you like this Mrs.Todoroki. If I would have known we would be meeting each other this evening I would have worn something more appropriate,-"
The fragile woman let out a small laugh, her pale hands covering her mouth partially as a bright smile shined through the cracks of her fingers.
"No need to worry dear, you look just fine. I'm the one who should be apologizing!" I straightened my back, shaking my head and my hands back and forth profusely.
"No, no, no, you look great! In all honesty, I should have at least bought you some flowers, or chocolates, or anything-"
"Ahem,"
Mrs. Todoroki and I blinked, before comprehending that Todoroki was standing awkwardly in the corner.
"Oh! Sorry dear, guess we got caught up," The two of us shared another laugh, Shoto placing his hands into his pockets silently.
"You're fine Mom, but we have to be going," I quirked an eyebrow, pouting slightly.
"What, already?" I stole a glance up at the clock, my eyes widening seeing the time was ten minutes away from when Grandma wanted me home. "Ah! Grandma's gonna have my head!" Turning back to Mrs. Todoroki I bored once again. Sweat dripped from my temple as I clasped my hands together. "I am so so so sorry Mrs. Todoroki! But if we don't leave now I'll be out past my curfew,"
"You're fine. I just have to have Shoto bring you over again next time," My eyes lit up, hearing her words. My head-nodding vigorously.
"I'll look forward to it!" I smiled.
"L/n," Shouto warned once again, I mentally hit myself for getting distracted once again.
"Uh! Right! Goodbye Mrs. Todoroki! Have a good night!"
"You too dear, See you both later! See you soon Shouto,"
Todoroki gave a firm nod, mumbling a small "Bye mom," before closing the door to her hospital room. As the light thump of the door closing was heard, I sighed happily.
"She super nice! I love your mom," I laughed lightly, walking down the halls, Todoroki quirking an eyebrow as a light blush light up his cheeks.
"You two only talked for at most five minutes," He spoke, his words causing myself to falter slightly.
"Uhm, well, in those five minutes I already know she's a doll," Todoroki's eyes furrowed slightly in confusion.
"My Mother is not a doll," I stopped in my tracks looking back to the heterochromia eyed boy, worried, "She's a person,"
I stared blankly at the boy, contemplating whether or too he was joking or not. By the look of his always serious expression, I opted for the latter of the two.
"No, Todoroki, it's an expression people use to describe someone in a sweet matter,"
Seeing as his expression hadn't changed from my simple explanation, I further explained the word as we continued our walk home. After not being able to give any more examples to the boy to understand I huffed, giving up.
"Never mind, I'll have to figure out another explanation to give you when we see each other again," Todoroki gave out a small hum, leaving the two of us in slightly awkward silence.
As we walked along the pavement sidewalk, my brain began to come up with questions. Mostly around why Todoroki suddenly decided to introduce me to his mom. Shaking the thought to the back of my mind I stole a glance at my phone to check the time, I choked.
"CRAP TODOROKI RUN! I'M FIFTEEN MINUTES PAST MY CERFEW!!" Speeding past the boy, I left the boy in the dust.
Turning to look back I noticed Todoroki still standing in the same spot I left him. His eyes locked onto mine as I huffed, running back to him, grabbing ahold of his hand.
"Come on! I don't plan on dying today because my Grandma smacked me to death with that freaking sandle of hers!" I cried out now running with Todoroki close behind me.
